I just came across D'Artagnan when looking for a bone-in Pork Butt. Looks like they have really good meats.

So far, we've done two orders from them, over the past 2 - 3 months. Both arrived on time, and still cold/frozen.
Their prices are high, but they seem to run specials pretty routinely, and if you order a bunch @ once to save on separate shipping costs, it is a reasonable deal for an occasional splurge. Our last order coincided with a 25% off sale on beef, so we got a few wagyu items that we have not seen @ local grocery stores: short ribs (boneless), flank steak, tri tip and something called a chuck flap. We had half of the flank steak last night, and the wife was still raving about it this AM...T

:D I have never been a big fan of the overstuffed burrito approach to tortillas. I wish I could find uncooked tortillas in a smaller,
street taco size. I think I may need to break down and start whipping up my own tortilla dough...T

Last of the pulled pork. Our two dogs go nuts when they smell it heating in the microwave. One barks and they pace around so of course they get part of it too. They like food, but not like this.

Dogs love barbecue, it's a fact! Yet another reason they are Man's Best Friend! :) The Princess loves anything smoked or grilled! Which is why I usually put something extra on without salt, pepper, spices, etc. for her. A little on top of her kibble makes things go easier. In fact, she just enjoyed lunch with a little bit of the meat from those smoked drumsticks I made earlier in the week...T

Did Costco chicken pot pie last night. Tonight was tuna and salmon sashimi with chopped scallop rolls. No pics.

Indeed. I got a special dispensation from the missus to cook it a little more rare than usual. I also gave her the more cooked "outside" bits.

Beans. Simmered all day in spices, with veggie sausages the wife picked up at Costco.

Served with homemade bread. Wiped the dust off our old bread machine.

LOL. I actually ate half, showered, and in the shower decided I was still hungry and ate the rest afterwards.

I believe it was a 1lb. But I could have eaten more. It was one of those frozen, peeled and devained ready to eat bags. I added some seasoning and threw them in the pan for a couple minutes.

As a graduate student, we would go to one of those "all you can eat" places. I discovered shrimp that was already cooked and peeled. Nothing to do but pop them in your mouth & chew! I must have ate a ton the first time!

I'm buying a bag of those shrimp. I'll also buy some scallops. Think I'll make pesto linguine to go with the seafood. I tried getting my parents and brother over for Chinese, but my brother has plans. I'm craving Chinese. Maybe tomorrow.

Dude, the tail is like a handle. It facilitates the grazing! Like a drumstick on a drumstick leg.

It was pizza on the grill night. As many know we have a very big family so we did it up right. Chicken, Italian sausage, pepperoni, white sauce, red sauce, grated mozzarella, sliced whole mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, artichokes, flavored olive oils , etc. We did wimp out and bought pre-made thin crusts. Everyone made their own pizza. All were yummy. Great family time. Every one was sharing.
