I am happy to announce I am the excited new owner of SN137318 (Engine #83585).

Black/Black with red stitching, she is an FHP car (Yes, they are factory shields)

Today is the first day I had serious seat time and I am still learning how to shift smoothly with the F1 system. Around town in stop/go its really not the smoothest 1>2 or 3>4 shift.

Also would mention its fairly loud? (About as loud as my 512TR w tube pre-cat bypass, factory cats, and tubi exhaust). It only has a tubi (not sure which 'version') but otherwise factory (with including the mid-cycle center muffler delete.

It definitely much louder then stock. Tragically its mostly lower frequency.

I am looking forward to spending the next few years sorting out all its odd little ends. My first project will be swapping its headunit for a factory 599 Nav unit I had sitting around, then slowly work on taking care of all the stickies.

Congratulations, beautiful car. It may take some time but it becomes second nature and much smoother after a while. I was unhappy initially with mine and now don’t even notice the shifts. In time if it doesn’t get better for you there may be small gains by having the clutch PIS adjustment looked into.
    Enjoy.

Congrats on purchasing such an absolutely beautiful dream machine.

    Quintessential Ferrari !

I just had Fabio’s H pipe installed on my 456M yesterday, love it.
Waiting for the Muffler Deletes/Tips to arrive and then it will sound proper !

Easy to check your Tubi and see if it has a 575 embossed on it for the second generation. If not, in general the 550 Tubis and straight pipes are pretty loud and resonant. Both sets were designed to use with the center resonator. Fabio makes a good imitation of the HGTC mufflers even better than the originals. Might be one way to go. My factory straight pipes and HGTC mufflers sound pretty good, even with factory valves.

They do have 575 on it making them the second generation.

I thought tubi sold 2 variants for the 575, the standard version and a louder ‘race’ version.

I’ll add it to the list.

Bigger question, is there any benefit to getting the
210578 HCTC Ecu on my middle-ish production FHP Car?

Forgot to answer the other question. The HGTC Shock ECU is designed to work with the stiffer, shorter springs and heavier anti-roll bar of the HGTC package, which is very similar to the FHP springs and even stiffer anti-roll bar you have. It is also designed to work with the new shock absorbers and mounts for very late model 575Ms and HGTC 575Ms and Superamericas.

So I am not sure you would notice much difference. Ferrari never documented an FHP specific Shock Absorber ECU and used whichever ones were being fitted to the vanilla 575Ms. This even included 183960 in early FHP 575Ms. Lowering her to European ride height settings, if you can stand the reduced clearance, might have more of an effect.

    Beautiful babe.
Congrats and enjoy in great health.
Bought my 575m a while ago, and U may be surprised that it was equipped with an exhaust system (tubi if I remember correctly), but after a while, I installed back the original ones!
Not a big fan of aesthetic noise on that beast I guess!
Frankly, it sort of gave me a headache when driving for long. And generally, I like to keep my babes -as stock as possible- if I may say, but that's just me:)
Haven't been driving it much, recently serviced, and from what I hear over here (specially from a member who had a very nice thread about driving out his 575 who was a big shot in a (ferrari list thing) b4 but I forgot his name), they R very reliable cars to be driven more often, so maybe I will.
575s represent an amazing era of ferrari, that has it's own unique taste.
    Enjoy;)

Thank you for the kind words. It is early FHP (post-AN#52556 steering update, but pre-AN#55769 shock absorber update) and not HGTE.

Honestly the standard FHP suspension is quite lovely. It is a wonderful balance between comfort and sporty...a true GT. I will give it more seat time, but I am very happy with the balance/feel for the time being.

Right now I am exploring why the brakes are so wooden (far more wooden then either my old 328 or 512TR, let alone a 360/430).
Honestly it feels like my multiple BMWs after I tried HPS pads and later EBC yellow track pads.

I will start with a flush and new pad compound (open to suggestions, considering EBC redstuff pads from the UK as I have had good experience in the past)
