I post this here because of the traffic in this section and many of you have multiple cars (I posted in lambochat with no response yet).

I am toying with idea of getting a 2018 Aventador S Roadster and heard that clutch-life may be really short (ie: 6500 miles), is that true? I know it is similar to F1 single-plate system and if driving carefully (neutral at traffic lights, no “slipping” clutch with slow creeping in traffic, no auto mode, minimal reverse, etc.) they can last tens of thousands of miles between replacement in Ferrari.

    Thoughts, and any other insights?

    Thanks!

Am close with my Lambo dealer, we discuss the AV quite a bit and no concerns noted. Friend has two, zero issues.
But drive one first, very antiquated super car. Looks and sounds tops though.

Oddly, I am intentionally seeking that antiquated supercar feel. The modern turbos and electrification (with “outstanding infotainment interface and sophisticated ride”) is leaving me cold inside.
Trying to grasp and hold onto an end of era, a golden age of Italian automotive lunacy.

Oh I get your intent completely. I sold my Pista immediately, ie 100 miles and passed on 765LT.
I want to love the AV but the geearbox is just so bad. Not old and good like in the Scuderia.
Might I suggest Performante? Night and day a better car, just not as baller.

I just met with the service manager at local Lambo dealer...he said a clutch, if respected, will last >20-30K miles. Interestingly, he also said the head room in the Roadster (top on :)) is actually more than the coupe.

What do you think of the Huracan Evo rear wheel drive?

Also, since I don’t know Lambo, will a dealer negotiate on a new car price?

    Thanks all!

Evo is about 90% of what made the Perf special. Good car. RWD will be a bit of a handful, so that could be fun if you know it going in. I like the AWD version like in Perf because you can toggle it to RWD in the track setting. Sure, more weight, but not a big deal for spirited driving.

Perf a stunning car all round. Super quick, super "tactile" and sound is brilliant. I know most here will complain but the CF seats in the Perf are great - try them though

I have had a Perf...fun toy but prefer Speciale.
    Also had MurcieSV.... both sold.
I am missing Lambo as well... so I’ve been considering lightly an Av.... but I’d prefer an SV over an S
