What's the best way to clean this off in the middle? Someone once mentioned to me ball polishing? Grabbed this pic off of a youtube video where a guy spent a long time cleaning the inside but didn't touch this area. See how it looks splotchy? Many 458's I see are like this in the middle area and a friend of mine wants to clean it somehow.

You can use a tooth brush and either Bon Ami or Bar Keepers friend. Bar Keepers has oxalic acid in it, which usually cleans up aluminum really well.

Soap and water also should work fine.

I know it sounds goofy but many people on this forum have had success with scrubbing bubbles bathroom cleaner. I've been wanting to try that method as it seems pretty easy and the before/afters posted on the forum looked pretty impressive.

Spray the area with scrubbing bubbles. Let it do its job for about 10 minutes, then wipe it down clean and dry.

Take a before and after photos and kindly share results. You will be amazed.

You just wipe dry without rinsing?

You can rinse but if it's only a small area you are trying to clean you can just wipe it dry.

Then spray it with Griots Garage engine bay dressing.

    It will look brand new.
