I did 150 in the Maranello (GPS tracked). The car had more, I did not.

    Hi,

Personally I have only done 280 km/h (GPS) in the 456 but we had a tour in the Koenigsegg factory two years ago during the Nordic FOC meeting and towards the end of the tour I figured out our ”guide” was Niklas Lilja (a Finnish family name ;-) and I believe he did 280+ mph. :D

    Cheers,
    Pekka T.

    Ps. 457.94 km/h (284.55 mph) during its north-westerley run

Built in Escort 9300 with laser scramblers. Also use waze. This is also a section of 3 mile straight highway with no cross roads or entrances. If you come in at 100, you can pull some major speed

127 MPH indicated on the speedo in my 280Z on the way to Watkin's Glen for the F1 race in 1976. (I think.)

    This car.

Lemme tell ya, 120 anything in a 280Z was a sphincter tightening experience (I actually added the front spoiler AFTER that as the front end seemed to want to completely lift off the highway.) But not nearly as much as doing 100mph in my 1971 MGB was.

Blew the belly pan off a Dino 246 GT in West Texas (near Muleshoe) at an indicated 135 mph in 1976, which was the most excitement I had at speed on the road even if I have been much faster since. Huge whoomp and all the dirt on the carpets flew up into my wife's and my faces. Thought I had blown the engine. Never did find the belly pan.

At TT, I took a girl from Muleshoe, to the ROTC ball, at Reese AFB. A beautiful tall blond. Her father has a farm.

When I just received my driver’s license I drove nuts. Took my parents 1973 Town Car (460 V8) and speed down the road, at 85 in a 35 mph zone. The car had rear drums and no ABS with a steering wheel as thick as a roll of dimes. I would guess the car is around 5,000 pounds.

Back in the early 70s when the F-14 came out, I was working on the first digital war gaming system for the Navy. After the initial delivery at the Naval War College in Newport, RI, they wanted us to update the system to include the Navy's latest plane, the F-14 and its Phoenix missile system. The Phoenix could independently target 6 other targets simultaneously. We updated the system, and were blown away by the results. Nobody was going to mess with the Navy. The F-14 and its Phoenix missile system could literally clean out the sky. I presume later planes and weapon systems are superior, but God Almighty, the F-14 was impressive!

That Phoenix Fire Control System was originally designed for the F-111B. When the Navy slow rolled that aircraft, they went with the F-14 and installed Phoenix on that instead.

Interesting. I didn't know that. I thought the F-14 and the Phoenix were built for each other. BTW, I used to work with a Terry Phillips for the Navy back in the '70s. I know its not you, though, 'cause the Terry I knew passed away.

It's not that the speed is bad, it's the fact they give driver license to ANYONE, even those who were riding in Ox carts six months earlier.

276 kph on gps in my wife’s 456 before I ran out of road. It’s more stable than my 430 spider was at those speeds.

Overall, just around 25,000+ mph. My friend was an Apollo astronaut, on his way to the Moon.

If you mean in a Ferrari, about 175 mph, on a track.
