Sorry, Missed your post weeks ago! Yes, caviar...center of plate was some Herring roe we tried....not our fave, but in the caviar server is a real nice American farm raised from Imperia Caviar. Good pricing too so we eat a lot of it. Goes well with Spanish Cava by the pool with gooey cheese and fresh toasted rustic bread. Cheers!!

Bishop. Man that is in the middle of nowhere! I think in the southwest, you cannot go wrong with a mom and pop Mexican joint.
We've never been disappointed in some small hole in the wall joint out west.

Pizza tonight is the plan, but for drinks I think I've discovered a way to choke down the white rum I got as a gift.
It is called Straight Silver Rum, out of Pflugerville. I'm a dark rum fan - the darker the better - so this sat for a while in the fridge.

I had to use the ton of mint we had, so I made this...
    https://www.asweetpeachef.com/homemade-mint-lemonade/
Yummy. it was nice & tart - I used a tsp or so of Splenda instead of honey - so I thought it might pair nicely with the white rum, which I find too sweet and boozy. It's a hit! I know how a plan to get through this bottle, and on to the Gosling's Black Seal, although it'll take me a while.

Last week I picked up Gosling’s and their ginger beer for a Dark and Stormy... or two, or three. Tasty. First time and will have it again.

Among readily available stuff, Gosling's is my favorite. Nice rich, molasses flavor that I like.
Their Ginger Beer is good as well IMO...T

Got their silver can low carb/light stuff. Still tasty. We were surprised it’s non-ROH.

Wow. We like to keep carbs low in the early part of the day. That'd be perfect for some early day drinking!

Goat cheese, mozz, red onions, chicken, oregano, basil, kale, spinach. The last 4 items fresh from the garden. Dough is Wewalka thin crust. It's back in stock at Kroger. Hallelujah!

Hi folks! Hope you are all well as can be.

We had Aldi planked Salmon and Chicken breasts, with sweet potato. Wife had some other veggies I think.
On the side I smoked some Yak stew meat and a Bison flank steak. Seared in a small toaster-oven.

Good Morning Tom! It is the Bison. The small nuggets on the tray are the Yak.

Where did you get the yak and bison flank steak? We had a local buffalo farm that sold all things bison but they shut down.

    Good Morning!
We get ground Bison at some of the local stores, and ground and sometimes cuts from Lester’s, but I have had more in orders from a business/ranch called Buffalo Gal in Hutchinson, Minnesota. They also have wild boar, scottish highlanders, elk. We’ve have had nothing but great meats from them. There is one other my wife follows that is at some local suburban Chicago markets...I’ll try and get their name too.

The other is Port Andrew Stock Farm (on facebook), and we pick up from his Schaumburg residence near to us.

ome local sources for ground are Marianos, Jewel, and sometimes Aldi.

Awesome, thanks. Ground bison is easy (or was easy) to find here. Wegmans carries it. Haven't looked in a while. Shopping is odd - go in for specific things and get out. Online seems to be the best bet for speciality meats.

Curious how the center looks when I cut into but the small end is almost perfect medium.

Pushed down with fork to show the juices.
