Thought this would be a convenient place to put all 812 GTS related media together. Here is the first:
Same here, mine is going to built in Sept (I hope the hand painted shields don't cause a delay)! You?
Great to see the first proper review incl. various comparisons to the SF. Cool that lowering the rear window lets in lots of noise too! Exhaust doesn’t sound quite as good as the SF based on this video but still decent and seems like with roof down it’s plenty loud. Can’t wait for mine to arrive now!
Shmee review so disappointing, very little critical detailed assessment and suspicion of keeping in with the manufacturer.......
I get tired of the intensity after 10 minutes. I wanted to hear how they sounded back to back. I think the GPF is clearly impacting the GTS. It sounded best in race mode which is where I would be driving it.
14:20 and 16:57 in Tim’s video is where you can hear the noticeable difference between the 2. Cheeeeers!!
I don’t agree. Sure, his style is a little annoying but I think he genuinely liked the car. James (Mr JWW) is another well known YouTube reviewer who has a more low key style and is also more balanced / critical in his reviews... hopefully he’ll do one on the GTS soon!
Nothing new, he openly admitted on an older Ferrari video he didn't want to say too many "bad" things so they would keep inviting him.
Just like on my other spiders the back window that comes down is epic. I am not disappointed with the sound I have heard at all and am pretty sure a nice after market exhaust will do more if necessary. According to the video that 812 coupe has the valves pinned or something done, so a good comparison would be to a stock 812 SF exhaust. Either way I think the GTS delivers a very special treat.
YouTubers, sure, since most can't even describe a car beyond basic, 4th grade vocabulary. To point out any faults would likely be, "this part stinks". Journalists who know how to actually review cars can give criticisms that are actually constructive.
My understanding is show cars are production prototypes and they come unrestricted. With gpf of course but rev limit is off so you can punch up to 8500 rpm stationary. Valve might be open full time. What I am saying is soundwise, it might not represent what customer cars will be like. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Anyone seen any more reviews? I noticed several of the SF 90 have come out in the last few days, surely journos will soon have access to the GTS..?!
