Does anyone want a Wolf front end bra for a 308?
Just an FYI guys. When I was in my 20s, had one of the “LeBra“ on the front of one of my Corvettes . Used to take it off nightly and wash the vehicle, Let it dry then replace. Noticed that after six months just from wind vibration it had sanded the corners where it fit tight right down to the primer.
+1 Same thing happened 30years ago to my BMW. It rubbed a perfect horizontal stripe across my hood about 6-8” up from front edge. Other than that, it worked great for avoiding rock chips and other damage caused from road hazards
Highly recommend a clear vinyl wrap under that bra for the reasons @built2grind & @308 milano mentioned. You should be able to get a good wrap person to just put down a clear wrap in that area (slightly oversized relative to the bra...you'll never even notice it). Should be able to do it for pretty cheap ($100) and it'll definitely save your paint. The bra is a cool look and it'll afford higher protection against the rock chips than just the vinyl by itself. But you definitely want to prevent it from flagellating the car paint.
