Image Unavailable, Please Login Happy Birthday Schedoni.... With Simone at last years FCA Annual Experience....
a very nice video with top Schedoni (and not only) luggage sets and Simone Schedoni himself, performed and recorded last week. ciao Image Unavailable, Please Login
Many thanks for sharing this, Alberto. Simone mentioned a new set that seems to be specifically designed for the Roma. Do you think it means that specific sets for new models are back (while now we have a generic set that is supposed to fit all new models)? That would be very good news !
Hi Jaques, thank you very much: that's the modular set designed by Marc Newson in London and not specific for any car, even if you will receive them with your car model name and VIN impressed in the label there is inside each suitcase. They are the same suitcases we saw at Universo Ferrari last September. Very nice and light suitcases, but not model specific. ciao PS I will talk a bit also about this new suitcases on my new book (Ferrari by Schedoni), that is at 60% today. last week on UK TV, salvage hunters on Quest restored a 308 set of luggage as was very badly sun damaged, did any one else see it?? apparently it was one of his most difficult restorations he's ever done as to the factory coating put on top of the leather, you have to work quickly to get it off and if you put to much, its game over, interesting to watch
I would need for my new book some good pictures of a Cuoio Designer Modena branded 308 set, as I don't own one: it's the only set made for a 3x8 that I don't own. Please contach me via PM or to my email address [email protected] Thank you very much ciao
A curiosity for Schedoni luggage afficionados... During the nineties (??) Schedoni manufactured some very nice pieces of luggage, but sold under their own name, that is, NOT branded with a "Cavallino". One of these case was exactly the same as the beauty case of the 308/328 set, but without the "Cavallino rampante". On the enclosed picture, you can see: - at right, an original 308/328 "euro set" vanity case, stamped with the "Cavallino Rampante" in "tan/light brown"; - then, in the middle, in the lighter "honey" color, the same vanity case, but sold under the Schedoni brand only; - and then at left, the same one in black... (being a collector is a bad, bad disease...) Rgds Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dear Alberto, the Enzo Ferrari luggage set (as pictured above) was never made by Schedoni, as we have discussed before. Why did Ferrari opt for a different manufacturer, rather than using their long time partner Schedoni, and who actually made the set for the Enzo Ferrari? kindest regards Mark
Hi Mark: it happened for money, only for money. I don't know who was the Enzo set manufacturer, but Poltrona Frau produced 488 and 812SF set. Both for money reasons. Today Schedoni signed a new deal for the new Ferrari luggage sets again, as before. Ciao
This book was published just ten minutes ago: I think who likes this thread can't miss this book, a world premiere. Written with the Schedoni family full support, it talks about wonderful Italian cars and about a story of a world success that started from a 1976 Chrismast gift: who says generosity does not pay? https://www.artestampaedizioni.it/prodotto/ferrari-by-schedoni-un-lungo-viaggio-sul-cavallino-rampante/ Image Unavailable, Please Login Yes, I'm the author. Italian only, sorry Ciao P.S. I can't reply to this post, as it would be considered commercial promoting. But I think that just one time it's a "lesson" like the others in my previous posts.
Hope they won't ban me... No more, I promise! ciao Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
English edition is not certain yet. If there will be, very likely will be a limited production luxury edition with Schedoni leather box. An high end book, very expensive, but it's still questionable. As in the forum there are rules about commercial ads, who needs any info about the book should ask me only through private messages: thank you very much, I will answer every time. Ciao
Would love to see an English language book. Even better if it was a high end version to make it extra special and to add to my other excellent Alberto Mantovani book.
If there will be, it will cost no less than 400+ USD, due to the special leather case, the extra size, different layout, improved paper thickness and quality, Schedoni official signed letter given with the book and so on. The Idea was to produce 300 numbered copies, but not confirmed yet. Let's see how it goes this much less expensive Italian one first. ciao
Albert, Please put me down for the Special English version if and when you create it. Thanks, Stephen
