I swapped a 599 headunit one my 575. I have the code for the radio, but can never get to the code screen to activate it? I tried turning on the radio with the car off, and it said that the ignition need to be on. I then turned the ignition on and the radio then went into ‘Device disabled’ mode with a 60 min countdown. An hour later I tried by first turning on the ignition.... That didn’t work either...again with a ‘device disabled’ screen Witt a count down from 60 minutes. how exactly do 599/430 owners get your radio to work after a battery dies? The manual says I guess I have to wait with the ignition on for the full one hour as if it is turned off while still counting down it will reset. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yep that was it. Basically it resets the timer everytime you turn the car off, hence the issue. Leave it on for an hour and all is well. Works great!
