Testarossa Price Trends

Don't forget the taxes! Not sure about the US, but in Canada many of the provinces have a sliding scale for "luxury item" purhases which can add a much as 20% to get the car into your garage. Not to mention the possibilty of a dual tax bite if you are moving the car from one province to another for example.

 

Looks great for a car with 55K on the odometer.

 

Mileage is likely accurate too!

What about the other 20 cars?

 

There are not 20 512TRs for sale at 150k, only one for sale right now at 165k is from speciality car down in Hollywood.

Has the rare "power steering rack" Already replaced!

 

I have actually seen one with aftermarket power steering. I know this car doesn't have it though

 

Correct, its electronic which many modern cars use today. I heard it works great as well. Great investment and I can't imagine how it would hurt the value. You can't see it. Its all under the dash.

 

Power steering is not OE for the cars. Melvok added one to his 512TR years ago and if you’re interested in it, just do a search about 512TR power steering and you can find the thread about the modification.

i know of an 86 TR white/white that will be going up for sale very soon. It will be priced accordingly since it needs some work, but will be a deal. 30k miles.

79.5k another so so car on BaT. I saw it in miami and it was last advertised at 115k. I don’t think this is due to the covid virus, just unrealistic expectations. Is it worth 79k? No likely sorted out 100k but not 119k either.

What about the TR at Algar? 55,000 miles makes me a little bit nervous. All in for 100 grand with Service? Seems little high for that many miles what are y’all think

 

IMO buying from the dealer is reassuring, 85k tops given the mileage IMO of course.

Curious what the opinions in this group are:

When does mileage seem to become a factor in price? For example, my Testarossa has 10,989 miles; when would an owner start to see mileage affect the value of the car?

20,000 mile cars seem to be average?
