I just visited Atlantis Motor Group today for the first time and saw this car in person. It is spectacular and Richard (the principal of the shop) couldn’t have been more pleasant. They have other pristine examples on their showroom floor as well. Someone should jump all over this Aston. It’s gorgeous and an unbelievable buy for the money.
The 2018 Aston Martin vanquish S is the last of the last TRUE Aston Martin naturally aspirated V12 to ever be made. The 2019 Aston Martin 12 cylinders are all TwinTurbo from Mercedes. It might come back in a completely different mid engine form with lots of Mercedes influence
Thank you for the response. I really dont have an issue with naturally aspirated versus a turbo version. I was just curious if the line would be restarted in the future and when.
Just a correction: The V12 Turbo in the Aston Martin is NOT from Mercedes. The V8 in the Vantage is from Mercedes. The V12 is an Aston Martin engine, built by Cosworth if I recall correctly.
The problem with Aston Martin, IMO, is not there cars so much as Aston Martin North America's failure to take care of its customers and for that matter protect its dealers, hence the greatest depreciation of any mainstream sports car manufacturer. And going forward Aston Martin's long term survival is really in question.
I also agree with both of you. Have to say that a gently used Aston Martin is one of the best deals going though. Have to believe they will prove collectible someday, too pretty not too!
