I just put a deposit on a 2015 458 Spider, my first Ferrari. I'm pretty excited.
When I walked by the showroom in Manhattan in 2010 and saw a white 458, I was struck by lightning and wanted one ever since. Even more so once I saw videos on its performance.
So, any quirks I need to know about? (e.g., any issues garaging with the top down? Usefulness (or not) of the parking cameras? Parking sensors?)

The only quirk is the goofy smile you'll have after every drive or after walking past it in the garage. Top down in garage for me is a no. Mine still smells new and I've got critters that come in and die in my garage. Don't want that smell.

Helpful hint #1 do not operate the top without the car running. Ask me how I know. Lol.

I also bought (heck, sat in) my first Ferrari, a 458 spider red/black. I would have preferred tan interior.

Parking camera and sensors work well.

Get used to it in sport mode, then CT off is far more fun. Drive it like you stole it, congrats!

Enjoy - be sure to keep the battery charged especially if more than a couple of weeks without serious use - other than that most queries already have answers here or in the owners manual

I have a 2014 458 Spider. I almost always leave the top down when it is parked in the garage. Makes it easier to get the battery tender plugged in and I pretty much only drive with the top down anyway. It also makes it much easier to get in and out of the car. I have leather sets and hit them with cleaner/conditioner every month or two and it still smells new to me. I have not had a problem with critters getting into my garage so that is something that might be a concern, depending on your location.

Thanks for all your posts. I have not yet driven in CT mode and cannot imagine anything better than Sport/Race modes. Sleeping has been difficult!

Great points, thanks. I'm in Florida with Cuban Tree Frogs that occasionally get into the garage.

I was getting my car serviced at Ferrari Ft. Lauderdale and think I saw this car sold. Is that the one pictured here? If so, great car and congrats!

Ferrari race seats are very good, decent lateral grip.
Color is nice esp in summer. Black was just too hot.
