Mom-made gravy. Did she make the meatballs as well? Sticking w/ the pasta theme. Farfalle (bow ties) with a little EVOO, semi-homemade tomato gravy, shaved parmesan, and a generous shake or five of crushed red pepper. Image Unavailable, Please Login T
Yes, wife bought a big bag of those a while back. They're not "grandma good" but they're not bad given the convenience...T
They are decent for store bought meatballs...................... I think I'm going to get tacos tonight. This place: https://www.yelp.ca/biz/tacoholic-langley-3 mostly good reviews. Its o.k.. Their salsa is excellent. But the rest aren't as good as central Washington State or when I lived in Arizona.

I also made a can of refried beans that I started off with a pot of butter and red onion before adding the beans. Then threw in some garlic and cumin powder.
LOL. Sorry, I threw a quarter cup stick of butter in the pan. Used about all but a third of it. Read some recipes saying it helped out with the "plainness" of the canned beans. I will add, if you're going to add lime juice to it, don't do an entire lime. It's way too over powering.
I'm getting Dominos pizza tonight with my brother. He has a free pizza with them. The offer expires soon, so he wants to use it.
Domino's is my favorite among chain pizza. But, only one every other year or so! Image Unavailable, Please Login Indian rice dish. Ginger garlic paste, celery, turmeric powder, jalfrezi sauce, chicken broth, rice, chard/spinach from the garden. Add rice and broth once veg is sweated. Simmer until rice is cooked. This has about 10 min and a little reduction to go. Image Unavailable, Please Login Tonight. Brisket. Oak and a little pecan for kindling. 2 hours hot and heavy smoke. Finishing up in the oven. Currently, it's in mid stall...T
Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Finished up in oven, but tried something different. My wife likes a nice crust on the brisket. So, I trimmed some of the fat before adding the dry rub (salt, pepper, cumin, smoked paprika). Then, at the end, when it was about 180 F internal, cranked the oven to 425 F. Pulled it at 200 F internal. Nice crust, good smoke ring, great oak flavor. Outer bark was like crackling. A tad dry on the flat end, but yummy closer to the point...T
Ok this sounds tooooo good. How long do you let the noodle cool before adding egg/cheese mix which I assume is parm?

My SIL was out by me visiting a friend. She dropped off homemade potstickers. I filled up on them, so that was dinner last night. Tonight is my weekly bacon cheeseburger at Triple O's. I think I'll get onion rings over poutine this time.
Awesome. Drumsticks are great on the grill. I look doing them on gasser, so I can go slower and slather with bbq sauce from time to time. T
Don't show your SIL this Max. It's my lazy Asian dinner! Ramen noodles, leftover brisket, leftover spinach, leftover diced tomatoes, tsp of sambal oeleck, little teriyaki. Yummy. Image Unavailable, Please Login T
Now that's what I call a concoction. In a good way. These took an hour or so to finish. I only did half a thing of charcoal in the starter and by the time I pulled the chicken, the charcoal was gone and was only cooking with residual heat. I moved the chicken around, far from the fire to closer. I applied bbq sauce to half and none to the other during the cook. Did buttermilk baths on both overnight, with different ingredients. Afterwards, I did a half a stick of butter with bbq sauce, garlic chili paste, and ginger powder. The other was half a stick of butter and buffalo sauce. Coated in a container and shook. Heated the broiler in the oven and cooked for around 4-5 minutes. I'll probably do more next time to try and get them crispy.
LOL. I hate leftovers in the fridge, and soup is a good way to use them up. Sounds divine. My wife never ate dark meat chicken until she married me (what a fancy pants! ), now thighs and drummies are her favorites...T
