Donnerwetter Walter don't shoot the messenger. Yes I agree his name and image is exploited to death -how much did some idiot pay for his sunglasses at auction?!- but this photo is pure, he was passionate about making that film, lost his shirt doing it but loved every moment. For him to have Fangio the legend visit must have been like Christmas...so don't confuse this with some t-shirt sale, not at all same ja:)!?

The red Lusso is #5195 GT and the pic was taken 21 July 2005 at the Nürburgring in Germany.

Marcel are you sure about 5195GT?
I took this picture 22 July 2005 at the Nürburgring, there is no Pinin Farina emblem on the driver site and 5195 GT has an antenna.

This could be the sexiest Ferrari. I think it now has narrower tires no? Not as sexy but histoically correct?

It certainly is a fantastic car. It is on painted Borranis now, and with a Cold Air Tray on the carbs. There is a book on this car. Perhaps somebody here has the build sheets to see the size of the original wheels.

Re: California pic one: This was 3867GT. I bought it with many faults, including no bumpers, plexi windscreen, 275GTB engine, etc. I found a front bumper and repaired and re-chromed it. I made a rear bumper from a VW K-G, removing the over-riders and spreading it to fit the Ferrari body.. Bruno made a 250 engine from bits he had in his shop. I never fixed the windscreen problem Sold it to Tom Davis with full disclosure, but then bad went to worse; for reasons unknown Bruno's engine failed! Tom later posted a tirade (which I understand) for world to see. Very embarrassing. Not my proudest moment, although the engine was not my fault I think it has since been restored properly, but when I had it the market wouldn't allow for a full resto.

The silly little chicane just after the pits made to slow the cars down just before the banking.

It was used for a few years then right at the end of the banking's life when they were beginning to worry about its structural integrity: it is on concrete stilts like Monthlery, not on dirt like Daytona, Talladega etc. After 69 they stopped using the banking altogether.
