My question is why does it look like a challenge stradale top has a good sz duck bill on it and the whole thing is carbonfiber.did the challenge cars come like this? I don't think thats a OEM challenge trunk. I think that someone maybe made a reproduction of it in full carbon. This looks a reproduction of the CS style ducktail lip which is a nice add on. I bought a factory Challenge rear lid on eBay last month off a challenge car, and it was not carbon. In fact it looked like a factory Modena trunk with added carbon cross brace which is to hold up the lexan on high speeds and the lexan. The whole thing was metal, and the only carbon was the cross brace bars and the rear scoop attachment. Anyways, I bought it because it was the perfect project trunk to add Rizzo's CS style lip to it. Plus the carbon brace bars alone are $1000 each piece, so with the trunk and lexan it was a good deal. The rear view mirror view of the brace bars are super cool. And its seems it weights 40% less than the stock. Finding oem CS rear trunk is near impossible to find so this is good. Randy is right the factory louvers are about $1500 a piece and you need the CS bracket (#10) to fit them. Your other option would be to use the OEM ones or get the aftermarket Louvers from eBay for $900 for the pair. https://www.ebay.com/itm/FERRARI-360-Challenge-Plexi-Lightweight-Engine-Cover-W-Carbon-Fiber-Air-Scoop/223928415377?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Heres some before and after picture. Also the scoop totally cools down the rear lid.....holy crap its cool to the touch where before you couldn't touch it or you'd get burnt.
I just do see how someone would make this aftermarket the cost would be crazy for a one off. The 360 carbon hatch is so light and I have never seen one before so who made it? I seen that challenge hatch you bought on ebay good buy i almost bought it honestly. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
I have aftermarket carbon louvers on mine so I would just transfer those.i still need to order the carbon cross braces and lexan Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
The Challenge parts were aluminium. Ferrari did commission some one off parts as prototypes for the 360 and the Scuderia, but these are mostly branded with CBS or Sparco labels. Looking at the finish of the underside I'll wager it's aftermarket, but as you said someone went to a hell of a lot of effort. Nice part.
The clear coat on the carbon looks ruff im going to have it polished up and cleaned.i am going to attempt to remover the grey on the deck lid to reveal the carbon Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
It will come up perfectly after a sand and re-lacquer/clear. I'll look forward to seeing the results.
No pretty sure this is a one of a kind and no one has ever seen a complete carbonfiber hatch Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
With lexan and the carbon fiber cross brace I think it will look pretty awsome. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
Yeah, I think so too. the carbon brace is so awesome to see through the back window. can't wait to see how you finish it.
Hopefully it fits biggest problem will be the latch im sure or lack of a latch i would hate to put the challenge hood pins. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Definitely not 1 of 1 but she hasn't held up well to high rpm and taking a beating she is starting to get waves in the carbon Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
Definitely not! it's crazy the amount of heat these cars put out.I tried some reflective heat tape but I will be removing it and doing the cs heat shield Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
