Booked a flight from OMA to BRO on AA on 4/21, $360.
    4/24 $390
    5/3 $520
    5/11 $430
    5/16 $523
    5/20 $619

I wonder what it would have cost if I booked around 4/1?

I've been keeping an eye on a particular domestic flight in November 2020. Pre-COVID-19 the best price was when there were no tickets sold, about late January, at a fare of $490. I should have just bought it at that price. In February, there were two seats sold, and the fare jumped up about 50% to $720. Since then, it's been creeping up another 15% or so to $820. I really don't expect the fare to go down until about 2 months before the flight date, if it ever does. If the flight starts selling out before then, I'll just have to suck it up.

One hint for you guys. Delete your cookies before you check each time. If you don't, you might appear "too anxious" to the airline's computers and not receive the lowest quote after the first inquiry. Yes, prices change by the day of the week, but you don't want to identify yourself as a definite buyer.

I know this to be true, but I have a 'cookie clearer' along with history, etc. that I have used for many years.

Anyway, I just looked again, my ticket is now:

    6/30 $347

I think it's because AA has decided to open ALL seats on its' aircraft as of today (and I bet they change that back)
