Regarding this point, I absolutely agree that the world is moving towards cleaner solutions and lower emissions. I can’t argue against that.

With that said, there is no good rationale or anything to suggest that the world must move away from loud noises. Loud noises are a part of life and so far they have not been targeted by cancel culture. If anything, the people who support these policies tend to make as much noise as they possibly can.

They should consider the Ducati strategy who offer full Akropovic exhaust systems and ECU tune as a dealer installed genuine factory accessory..... intended for ‘closed course use only’.

Fully agree with you. It might end up being a lot more than $25k to "make sense" to the accountants Ferrari, but it would certainly be the the way to meet the customer demand for it.

I beg to differ on this point. Ferrari is very attuned to the 'market dynamics' and price accordingly. Exhibit 'A' is the base price of the SF90 Stradale...

Does anyone have any update or information on the VS? From a few discussions with people it feels the car is in the pipeline ie its existence seem to be confirmed by a few people

I don't have any more information about the car itself, but my German dealer has been inviting a letter of interest from potential clients, and suggesting buying another car like the F8 spider to help getting an allocation. So the car is not far from being launched officially.

I am happy with my 812 and hopefully they will make a lighter car even if it has only a little more power. And more natural to drive than the previous VS.

Are you including the VS in those “cars”? Or do you think the VS is a good car?

Interesting which reinforces my view that it will likely not be numbered by limited like the Pista. They will reserve the plaque for the aperta imo

They are using the F8 Spider as bait?

I don't know if this a widespread tactic, but I have just moved to a new dealer. But they did not realize that I have just received the pista spider from the old dealer, and so they picked the wrong car to try. The old Lusso bait doesn't work anymore so, I guess the F8 it is.

Since this will be the last VS car I will be able to drive before hanging up my driving shoes, I hope they make it a good one. Hoping to be third time lucky after only a few months with the 599GTO and no to the tdf (both financial mistakes looking back!), I expect this one will be priced to be not an investment at all, but hopefully made fun to drive.

Based on your self-described inability to drive F12tdf, sounds like you should already have hung up your driving shoes years ago.

When you are denied 812VS allocation, will you likewise incessantly deride it the same as you have the F12tdf?

    Agreed

Cleaner cars does not in and of itself require softer cars.

Rear is good
