don't known what that is. Orphan battery tender?
That may be. The cables appear to have a lot of surface wear from a P.O. connecting a trickle charger.
It looks like the fused connector wire normally supplied with Deltran battery tender. Image Unavailable, Please Login
New battery installed. The car does not start or turn over . Idiot lights and Check OK light in the center of the dash are all ok and normal. Driver's glass window drops and all the normal sounds are present. I sent an email to the shop I use and asked for advice. I pushed the button on the immobilizer and the little tiny red light no longer illuminates after I pushed it several times. Just had a major service completed during Feb 2020, by a marque specialist. Should I consider the battery inside of the immobilizer has reached the end of it's life. ______ Just received an email reply from the shop. The shop asked, if I can lock the car with the immobilizer. I no longer can lock the door with the immobilizer.
That does not prevent car starting. To be sure to eliminate the fob immobilizer system use your pin. 550 will not crank if imobilo is preventing it.
Yes the fobs are wonky. I have had failure w no start. Put new bsttery in bent pins for good contact w no start. Then start car with pin. Then car start fine with fob!!!! This system sucks. I always think of having the trev360 delete it for me but I never think about it until it gives me trouble and I'm on my 2nd paragraph of 4 letter words...
The fob is not the immobilizer and the immobilizer has no battery. There is a battery in the fob(s) and (internally rechargeable) batteries in the alarm siren. When you change the battery in the fob, make sure you check for corrosion and pinch the contacts together before inserting the battery. Spinning the battery after installing while pinching the contacts will ensure a good connection. Ferrari says the fob batteries should be changed every 6 months. I do that for the fob I carry in my pocket, but only change them annually on the other two fobs. Good advice on carrying a spare battery in the glove box, but make sure you have a tiny Phillips head screwdriver in there, too, or you will not be able to open the fob.
Trev360 is the resident 360 modena genius who figured out how to adequately remove the immobilizer among other accomplishments.
I don't get it. I see all these pics with those ugly green Interstate batteries. I don't care what anyone says, a battery is a battery. In fact, I think most are made right here in Milwaukee by a company called Johnson Controls. They did make all the Sears Die-Hards during their peak years. Anyway, 2 years ago I replaced my green Interstate with a beautiful all black NAPA brand battery. Peeled off the NAPA sticker and it looks like it belongs. Most important though, it starts every time.
So, Terry, the next time you buy a battery you can get this... Image Unavailable, Please Login ...and your battery and car will be color-coordinated.
