... and please give reasons. I am thinking there should a full size SUV (Bentayga?); a pickup/towcar; and some sports cars. Which Ferrari models would you pick ? How about a Porsche Turbo S?

I am thinking a silver Roma for the wife. What do you guys think about the SF90 for fun? I dont expect doing a lot of track time with a street car so ...

OK. New cars and money is no object? In no particular order:
    • Ferrari 812 - A complete beast, a joy to drive, and the second quickest street car I've ever driven. Must have. I only withdrew my order because I wimped out on the depreciation.
    • Mercedes S Coupe - An absolutely fantastic daily driver. Easily 90% of the Bentley Continental GT for 60% of the price. Sure, money is no object here, but I've always been a Mercedes guy. This one is on my 'to buy' list for real.
    • Porsche Cayenne S - My wife has been hinting that this should be our next SUV. We've both driven it and like it, so...she'll probably get it this fall! :)
    • Jaguar Series 1 E-Type (Classic Works) - Cheating a little on "new," but it's effectively new after it comes out of the factory restoration shop. This one speaks for itself.
    • Ferrari SF90 - The first of the next generation from Maranello. I don't know yet how good it'll be, of course, but I'm definitely intrigued.

    In no particular order:
    • Ferrari 812 because I love GT cars.
    • Brabus G V12 900 because I'm crazy about this craziness.
    • AMG S63 coupe because I love my E450 coupe so why not uplevel a bit for my daily driver.
    • Pagani Huayra Roadster for some top-down track fun.
    • Ferrari F8 Tributo for a bit tamer track fun than the Pagani.

Chiron Sport for the sporty daily
P1 GTR for the track toy
    Enzo for the rolling art
    F40 for the manual itch
    Laferrari Aperta for the convertible

I don't have kids so no need for 4 seater. Since money is no object I don't care about depreciation or operating costs :D

Since this is just "new" cars - here is my list
    1) Bugatti La Voiture Noire Ultracar (Bragging rights, most expensive new car you can get)
    2) SF90 - Sports car (LaF performance, 1/4 the price) - though LaF (FXX) successor is the proper answer here.
    3) G63 - (Real off road capability)
    4) Toyota Sienna Van = when you have to haul lots of folks around
    5) M5 Competition - Daily (great all rounder)

The money no-object premise makes a pickup a non-necessity, people do hauling for you.

very intriguing lists, giving me some new ideas. I was thinking of an SUV for hauling stuff like golf clubs, which is a must.

I see the new Mercedes GLE 63S Edition is quicker than the Bentley but I've never had a B and I've had negative experiences with breakdowns of new BMW and MB cars, so I'm off those for now. My wife wanted a Jaguar but likes the Roma better now.

re the XKE, I thought those were all sold out?

Glad to see some would place the SF90 on the short list; I will have to catch up on the old threads here about it.

I assume a GTO would be top of the list for classics; and perhaps a California SWB; what else would you suggest? One time at Laguna Seca there was an alloy 275GTB4 that had open exhaust and it was very impressive. For classics I can only envision driving them in classic rallies, like Colorado or Mille Miglia, which might be fun - is there much else that owners do with them?

i should have added this yesterday but, if the stipulation had not been for NEW cars, only the pagani would make my list.
the others on my list if it were any age of cars, then i would have the zonda, and then some classic vintage ferraris.

there are no new ferraris in my top 5 list of new cars.

I don't do automatics so there are only 4 new cars currently on sale that I would even really consider (even if free). If I could go used, it would get much more interesting!

    2. Bowler EXR-S, Bulldog (or newest model), for off roading. Jag acquired them last year and it's been radio silence :(
    3. Lamborghini SCV12, naturally aspirated new track toy
    4. Rivian R1T for hauling and tech
    5. And another vote for the Lotus Evora GT, only mid-engine car with stick and it's small enough to park and navigate traffic easily

New? Hmm... Not much new i like.

    - Ferrari Portofino - Every day driver
    - Lambo Urus - When I need to move stuff - fast
    - Rolls Phantom - For when I need to carry more than 2 people
    - Glickenhaus Boot - For fun in the dirt
    - Lambo Huracan EVO Spyder - For when i want more aggression than the Portofino

I have zero interest in todays supercars. Very boring to me.

I dont like SUV and pick up cars. If money was no object and i could get 5 cars, i would mostly buy vintage and one daily driver.

Same with me, but an optimized version of a Miura built from scratch, maybe carbon. Follow that line of thinking with a DB5, a Bizzarini, a _____......
Minimal computers to run the car, if any at all. Take a 2" horizontal slice out of a _______ from nose to tail..... Five of your favorite cars, with the little details you always thought just needed a little tweak.

    Each one familiar, but unique.

Well, to each his own, but I´ve always wondered: if you can make your own car, why copy one that already has been made? Some people even orders remakes of cars they already own.

Doing your own thing, even if the end result is not a masterpiece, probably you´ll get more fun in the process.
