That’s interesting Alan, are you sure the LHD sold at full ask? It was on sale for around nine months.

Yeah I have that from someone I trust who has a close relationship with KHPC. It was sight unseen, full ask, shipped to Holland.

If you look back through the recent Auctions that have featured Maranello's you'll notice a pattern that the LHD cars tend to sell and the RHD cars often don't make reserve. The bids on the RHD cars are often reaching the same level at which the LHD are selling.

The LHD cars are mostly heading abroad.

Makes sense, ahead of Brexit, I suppose. If I sell my F512M (LHD) it will probably return to the continent.

But still back on topic of the 575s (as this conversation is more for the Disappearing thread), gated 575s aren't hot property on continental Europe at the moment right now either; the whole market is down for everything.

Many LHDs, like the one which sold to Holland, came 4-5 years ago when sterling was 20% stronger vs the euro, and the UK speculator market was hot. Now some of those buyers are finally accepting the reality of lower prices, and these cars look good value in euros.

The RHD vs LHD premium got out of control when UK buyers drove up prices for RHD during the same years, mainly citing lower build numbers, but now as the UK has cooled, prices have dropped faster than the continent because the RHD export market is small to non-existent. The continental LHD market never got heated up to the same extent.

So since posting the price above for the KHPC LHD 550 I've since been told it actually sold at £54,000 and not at the asking price.

    You can't trust anyone eh!

What I don't get is how people are able to buy at this level. Every time I make a sensible offer on a car I just get blanked.

I don't even get the call back a week later with a counter offer.

I guess you've got to be in the right place at the right time.

Does anyone know of a well speced sub 30,000 mile RHD 575 manual for sale in the UK? Must have FHP, would also like modular wheels
No quality cars for sale on the usual sites. You can send me a
PM if you know of any.
    Thanks

TBH it does not look familiar to me, though maybe I missed it. I would think I would have remembered the race seats plus FHP on an early manual 575 though.

This particular one wouldn't tempt me.

Manual 575 FHP vs manual Vanquish S.

    Spoiler alert: Ferrari wins.

If posted before, sorry, though it’s always worth watching again.

That looks very nice (for a 575;)) and if that doesn't get a good price, nothing will. It will be interesting to see the result:)

Shall we have a guess at the outcome? I'll start the betting at £140,000, inclusive of buyer's premium.

That looks like a really nice one. Although I would still prefer one from a good dealer and would pay at least 10% more that way unless an auction car had a proper PPI and breezed through.

Where did this myth of 575M bigger brakes originate? Seems to be universal in sales literature in UK auctions.

good question Taz, as you were the one to call this out first here. Hard to tell where the first error (which others lazily copied for their own benefit) happened, but my theory is that it started with a misinterpretation of this review.

I would say this car, if it’s as good as it looks (always a big if), would be 150k from a good dealer. So at auction, somewhere between 125k and 135k (GBP£) all in for the buyer, hammer accordingly less. Not sure what the reserve or the guide is.

having said that there aren’t many around and if someone likes this colour combo, maybe more.

Very nicely equipped for a 3 pedal, 136828, AN 54826, engine no. 83589. Looks like she may have FHP since she looks a bit lower, but post AN 52556 so FHP is not as big a deal as on earlier 575Ms. The correct amount of Bordeaux leather, although I would have preferred Nero carpets.

I think it’s rare enough that for the right person it’s worth buying and re-dying the seats.

Can anyone tell what the paint colour is? Not Rosso Corsa from the closeups...

Easy for me to live with Bordeaux leather on just the seats. Easy to change if someone could not stand the color.

Daniel- She looks like Rosso Corsa to me, just that the photos were taken in the shade.
