It should be slightly cooler on the weekend. However, I do hope they solve the problems the drivers are having with a hot cockpit.

From what I understand the paddock will be off limits to spectators. Bummer . . . .

Yes, 'only essental racing personnel will have acccess to the Indycar garage area.' I think Road America has been consistent in saying they would do what Indycar wanted. The underclasses have Thursday and Friday. Saturday and Sunday are Indycar and Vintage Indycar...only, I believe. IMO, RA is making special efforts to keep people safe by encouraging online ticket purchase, taking no contact temps of attendees, giving a mask and hand sanitizer to attendees, limiting crowd if necessary....and more.

Why should anyone be surprised they have temperature problems with that cockpit shut off from airflow with the windshield?

I don't think its a solvable problem without a cool suit system that could last 4hours.

I thought they had improved cockpit ventilation since the first tests with the closed cockpit?

There are vents at the base of the "aeroscreen" where it meets the body. It just isn't adequate.

I just read a driver's interview mentioning dirt and gravel coming into the helmet via some air supply hose but what about a largish monocoque opening with grille above the feet, that would shoot a lot of air in and be the same for all...

Scott Dixon always rockin' a Richard Mille...seems to have a new one each race. Those in total probably cost more than some of the Indy teams' annual budgets...

Did you notice how the 'entertainment' no longer talks much about 'push to pass'? A big part of the strategy, but not for anybody but those in the paits.....why is that?

Indy Car should run every race this year at Road America. Yesterday's race was much more entertaining than F1.

Indycar has been more entertainment than F1 for a number of years. I watch all the F1 and Indy plus IMSA races....Indy is way closer racing and more passing....love it!

It was. But as an attendee the two prior years, they were both parades. I think last year was the one with not one yellow....
