Can the fibreglass body twist and crack when the chassis is bolted down on the dyno?

No. Chassis twist occours in cars with front mounted longitudonal engine and a rear driven axle. The torque of the engine (can ) twist the chassis in relation to the differential.
But all 308's have a transverse rear mounted engine, so no lengthways twist of the chassis possible. The torque of the 308 engine is transferred to the rear frame of the car with a torque arm from the top of the rear cylinder head.
Also 308's have steel tube frame chassis which ties the suspension and mechanical components together. The body (whether steet or glass) is not a structural element, it's just bodywork to keep wind and rain off the occupants.

Some front engine V12 Ferraris, for instance the later 275's and the 365 /400 /412 series are fitted with a torque tube that ties the engine /gearbox and rear differential together in to one solid unit, thus eliminating the torque reaction to the chassis.

Hence the torque tubes on the later 275s

Sorry Mike, the torque tube is not there to eliminate the torque reaction, it's to ensure constant alignment of the transaxle to the engine.

and trust me, a Daytona with a torque tube applies plenty of twist to the chassis when you have it on a dyno.

    you have no idea.

The early short nose 275's had no torque tube and suffered driveline vibration because of the independent movement of the rubber engine and transaxle mounts.

Torque tube was introduced to solve this problem.

I know exactly what the torque tube was for , got all the books on the cars that had them and what you say about the vibration is right but the vibration came about because of the torque reaction from the engine which cause alignment problems with the transaxle hence the torque tube maintained that alignment eliminating the vibration ... where do you think the "independant" movement came from ?
