    Selling a spare set of wheels off my '86 Mondial. These use regular tires (not TRX) and are ( I believe) the same wheels used on the 328. They are dirty and even though the pictures make them look worse than they really are they should be refinished.This is the set of four...two fronts and two rear.

    Date code is 1986. $2000 or best offer. Will ship without old tires at your expense. Otherwise, you can pick them up or I may deliver in the SC or NC area pending my travel schedule.

    I believe the Mondial offset is specific to the model, but those convex ABS I am not certain.

    Maybe a search would find it..

    Looking at the book, none of the abs wheel part numbers are shared between the 328 and the Mondial 3.2.

    However...

    Again, and to beat a dead horse: we should not speak of the "ABS Wheels" of the 328s; "bulged wheels and revised suspension" would be more correct.

    The "second serie" of 328s (starting February 1988 with GTB #76626 ) had a "new" suspension (different wheel track; different wheelbase, actually shorter by 1/2 inch, different castor angle, etc...and different pyramids of tubes for anchoring the suspension welded on the chassis that needed re-certification of the chassis in Italy under a new designation) that COULD receive ABS, but did not always had it:

    - US cars with the revised suspension:
    from February 1988, after production of #76626, to September 1988, the so-called "88 1/2" cars have the revised suspension (except #76632, #76633 and #76647, which do have the "earlier" suspension, as a few later cars at random here and there, mainly RHD cars, after #76626 still had the earlier suspension) but no ABS, as it was not offered;
    then, after September 1988, ALL US 328s with the revised suspension have been delivered with ABS.

    - All Australian-market cars with the revised suspension were delivered without ABS

    - All European cars with the revised suspension could receive ABS, but as a paying extra option: you wanted ABS, you paid extra for it. You did not want ABS, you didn't get it, you were not charged for it; this until the end of production.

    So the ABS tell-tale on a 328 is not the bulged wheel; the ABS tell-tale is the brake fluid reservoir: large and mounted in the exact middle of the shroud surrounding the sparewheel, in front of the windscreen: the car has ABS; small and offset towards the passenger side: the car does not have ABS.

    That being said: the factory has always maintained that the change of suspension on 328s after car #76626 did not came from the desire to offer ABS, it was only motivated by a wish to have commonality of parts with the 328 and the "Mondial 3,2", as the entire front suspension of the "serie 2" 328: that is suspension triangles (or "A-arms"), etc...is common to the "Mondial 3,2" and fully interchangeable (see parts catalogue's numbering for the front suspension parts).

    And so are the front wheels: the fronts rims of the "série 2" 328s (137079, after #76626) is exactly the same, including the 38,3 mm offset, as the 129791 front wheel of the "Mondial 3,2". As these wheels are the same, these are interchangeable, but to distinguish themselves visually, the style of the dimension's markings on the rims: "Ferrari 7 X 16" is different, making these identifiable: it is cast in metal in the 328 front rim (137079) but "marked" (painted, etched?) - in black on the "Mondial 3,2" rim (129791)

    From the photo, you have PN 126971, which is a Mondial front 16x7 size wheel. While similar to the 328 convex front wheel, I do not know know if you must run slightly different bolts or not when crossing between 328s/mondials.

    Here in the US, we call revised 328 wheels "Convex" wheels in contrast to the "Concave" earlier wheels.

    Call FerrParts or TRutLands and see what they offer, a shame to see them go unused....
