    Out driving the F12 this afternoon stopped for awhile...got back in car started up and driving away noticed the little red transmission warning light (looks like a stick shifter).
    Shifting through all gears in race mode car remained flawless. Turned car off, waited, turned on...warning light still there.
    I'm guessing, since car driving smoothly, that this is nothing..but, have you guys experienced same?
    Go to dealer and clear code?
    Okay to keep driving until I do?

    Could be temperature related or something else. I would let her cool down, then restart and see what happens. Something's going on though...should be checked at dealer in any case. That's what I would do.

    I've experienced that not with the F12 but with the early California. In that case the transmission light came on one first time and everything seemed normal. A week later happened again and the passage from 2nd to 3rd gear started being not smoothed and got worst in a question of days. When I took it to the dealer they diagnosed that the gear-box main shaft sensor was faulty and the transmission had to come out but fortunately I had a extension warranty. With the early Calis there have been several cases like this but with the F12 it's something more rare as far as I know so my advice as a precaution is take it to the dealer as soon as possible for checking and let's hope there is nothing.

    Might be the temp plus low on transmission oil, drive her to the dealer. Don't mess about with her until she's been checked....

    I agree best to have it checked. But, how old is the car? Are you on the original battery? Low(er) voltage from an aging battery can be the cause of several electronic gremlins. Could also be a sensor going bad. I think its good news right now that there's no perceivable mechanical manifestation, but I would park it and wait for the dealer to diagnose it. No need to risk a big problem.

    Warning light has gone out and car driving fine.
    I spoke with a Ferrari tech and he chalked it up to the usual battery stuff...electrical dips during engine cranking on start up.
    Car is a 16 and is on its third battery.
    I am of the impression my F12 will need a new battery every year as part of annual service.
    It is on a tender whenever parked.

    I just changed my first battery after 4 hears and 17'000KM at my own behest....

    Do you know what battery/brand the replacements are? Could also be you have a bad ground or two. Someone posted pictures of oxidized/corroded ground straps (dissimilar metals) on the chassis but it wasn't an F12 if I remember correctly. With resistance in the loop you will be constantly using power and the battery will go sooner. Bad grounds also bring on ECU gremlins for sure. Mine is a 2013 and on the original battery but looking to replace it soon as a precaution.

    Hi my f12 engine control system lights ups
    Then only shifts 1/3/5/7 only. But when i restart the car after 20mins of rest it works again, but after fee minutes of drive same thing happens,
    Anyone have this experience? Someone told me it could be my battery. Needs To be replace. Because its already 6years old since 2014. Battery always goes week after battery tender is charge for 1 week

    I have not had that, except on a loaner Cali I drove. I think it is unlikely to be the battery. It needs to be looked at by experienced shop.
