360 What is my TCU?

    Has my TCU been changed? I have a 2000 360 modena USA spec. My TCU PN in the car is 191701, software CFC201F.05 I was informed 1999-2000 had a TCU that couldn't be flashed. This is a list of the TCUs in the production run. The one I have is then the middle of the run. 176552 185301 185741 189542 (191701) 193263 195399 197533 211023. What year car is the 191701 from?

    From what I rember 191701 is from 2002 and can be flashed someone correct me if I'm wrong but pretty sure reach out to Eric on the form he flashed mine.

    The date shown of July 16 2002 is typically the date of manufacture of the TCU

    Thank you. Weird mine was replaced then I guess. I don't remember seeing that in the maintenance records that came with my car. Is there any way to tell the software version in the flash? Guess I need to hook it to a Leonardo?

    Your TCU is from family CFC201F.05 which is good. It can be re-flashed to CS software quite easily.

    #191701 appeared somewhere on second semester of MY01 360.
    It would be very surprising that you have a software version different to the OEM #191701. Reflash of these TCUs is not that common. But, yes, it can be reflashed to late 360 spec or CS spec.

    It says MY00 right on the ECU.

    From my understanding MY00 is not the date. The date is actually July 02 is stamped on the upper right corner. My TCU is not the original. But good news is this newer and a little better than the original and easier to upgrade I hear.
