    So,
My front lid and rear cover gas struts are getting weak, and thinking I should replace them. The ones on the car say "Ferrari" on them, and I know they have been replaced before. So my question is, do I go back to the original OEM, aftermarket or get these recharged. Any advice is appreciated.
    Thanks

    Bob:

Go to www.liftsupportsdepot.com and look at their various options for your 3x8 (Stabilus brand is the best choice, in my opinion).

And don’t worry whether there’s a little horsey on the strut...nobody gives a hoot.

Finally, be very careful undoing the bolts holding the front struts on...they are seemingly made of paper mache’ and snap if you look at them funny (ask me how I know this). Replacements made with proper steel are available from Ricambi (part #40161930).

    Good luck,

I had mine refilled. A year later they still work. I'm in the UK so can't recommend anyone in the USA.
