Back in the 70s and 80s, I was very active in the FCA. I ran all the tech inspections in the Northeast region. We often hooked up with a great bunch of guys and gals from Canada, mostly from the Toronto area. We visited their events and they reciprocated. Some of the names that come to mine are Peter Mackenzie-Sanders, Jerry Reckless, Norm Natress, Vito Scavone, Remo Ferri and Ernie Hennessy. (please excuse any spelling errors!) So, are any of these guys still around and active? They showed some real enthusiasm on the track. Comments/Info? Bob Z.
Hey Bob, you might get better answers if you posted in the Canada Regional area. Best regards, Robert
I've lived in the Toronto area for many years. I don't recognize any of those names but, out of curiosity, googled 'Peter Mackenzie-Sanders' and came up with this, an obituary for his mother, dated 2017 (an interesting woman by the sounds of it). It indicates that he was still living at the time his mother's death, but offers no further details... https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/doreen-mckenzie-sanders-96-business-journalist-who-mentored-other-women/article37169095/ Vito Scavone appears to still be quite active in racing... https://markmotorsracing.ca/team/crew/crew-scavone As does Remo Ferri... www.rferrimotorsport.com
Hi Bob , I only recognize Remo . I can ask some of our long term members if they remember any of the others . It would be great to see you here again , maybe 2022 at the national meet . Hopefully I will have the wicker 330GT there . Rob
