Somewhere around 10-12 years ago, the car was up for sale in Ombersley UK at an aftermarket Ferrari dealer.

The car had Prost's signature written in black magic marker on the roof and the signature was covered by a thin plastic sheet.

A friend is possibly looking to buy an F40, and he saw a similar car somewhere around the same time, without signature or service book, still on original tyres, at the same dealer (car was said to have been Prost's but without proof, so he declined). But this was not the car I saw.

Just curious what might be out in the public about these two cars.

Thanks, my mate said the dealer was unable to document the car he saw, and this car says history is documented, and it makes no mention of the signature on the car's roof.

My all time favorite F40 sound track. and watch his face closely...the sheer satisfaction and awe, and this from an F1 driver. Find this, put it on the smart TV, and try to blow up your best audio equipment. Oh, the tie in, another Frenchman.

Wonder if this is the ex-Pozzi-Ferrari France F40LM 79891?

Lafitte, a much underrated driver. Notice how gentle his gearchanges are initially, then super smooth and quick.
Downchanges with heel and toeing equally so, someone with such great mechanical sympathy is definitely a proper driver.

Not many of those days who would manage to make a manual dogbox last a whole GP, or any race.

Sad how is career ended with that awful crash at Brands, appropriately (somehow) in a Ligier as he was a Ligier man through and through.

Some good overtakes in this clip :

I would rather hear the music from the Matra V12 than the Stones . . .

Not sure why some people put music over footage that have great sound as background originally!?

Here's some proper onboard footage of Jaques Lafitte at Monza during practice in '78 :)
