I like that line. (I have been one of those saying the 458 drove like a GT and the cars that followed even more so - despite the unusable amount of torque and hp).

Ferrari changed more after the 430 imho than from the pre/post enzo or fiat or any other demarcation line. Mo money mo money mo money and more luxury priced and marketed as an exclusive “look what I own and customized at the factory” vs “look how great this car drives”. No argument from me, as it worked spectacularly for their shareholders. Just means there isn’t a post-2009 ferrari that interests me. But I digress...

 

I cant believe its at 96K with 4 hours left yet.

So I guess thats the value floor for a non-wrecked Scud. $/mile not bad at all if you pick up a nicer one and drive the snot out of it.

 

I guess it depends on what you consider "non-wrecked" lol. That car is a hot mess and in terrible shape, both cosmetically and mechanically speaking...not to mention all the non-oem parts incl the engine bay panels that aren't even the same weave pattern as oem or the fact that the transmission has been replaced 4 times lol.

 

BAT is great at getting people to bid, especially if you’re going heads up with someone and the comments keep rolling it while you’re at the 2 min mark.

just to win is worth additional thousands.

 

Extra yellow plenums. Different carbon panel covers. Engine fire perhaps? Outside looks good though . It does have an authentic carbon fiber rear diffuser.

 

Outside looks alright in pictures coz the entire car got repainted but given the condition of everything else that is wrong and how poorly maintained that thing is, it wouldn't surprise me at all if the paint quality was scrappy and horsesh*t too...I'm not saying oem Ferrari paint is something to revel about but oem is still oem.

What's fair buyer pricing for a Scud these days? With say roughly 10k miles, well serviced, no stories, with a standard specification.

I still feel the market for a Scud ranges from 180 to 220 depending on mileage and color and year

2 dollars a mile
10k for a 2009
10k for red
2k to 5k deduct for leather
Deduct for yellow carbon and foggy headlights

Start from 220 and using numbers above subtract if not red, subtract if 2008, and then subtract 2 dollars a mile for each mile etc

Interesting, but in today's market, I think your starting number of 220 is much too high, more like 190 for the starting point, then perform your calculations.

 

16m is 220 to 250
Scuds are not 200k cars anymore

^^^ Agree. That formula works pretty well in current market for quality, well serviced examples. 220 is for a 0 mile car which doesn’t exist.

 

So moral of the story, go buy a 2008, non-red, leather scud with some miles and enjoy

 

There was a very nice, well-optioned rosso corsa 2009 with around $5k miles at Ferrari of Atlanta that sold very quickly near the $235k ask as I understand it.

 

Man at $220k a 16M sounds mighty enticing....
How is the chassis rigidity?
I plan on tracking it maybe 5-8 times per year.

Good point ..missed the 5 to 7 percent premium for buying at dealer

But that comes with some hopefully security and backing

Are there any Warranty options for Scuds these days?

 

not looking to pick a fight... (disclaimer, i am a buyer)

but obviously sellers feel cars worth XXX and buyers think YYY.. no disrespect to either.

true numbers are somewhere in between... real world, look at F-chat member Raiders Scud.. RESALE red, about 11,000 miles, impeccable condition.... YES NO U.S. carbon package.. but still for sale at ASKING 180K

just boils down to If ya have one and Something new is giving ya the itch.. Ya sell for what ya can get..

conversely... if your a buyer, how patient are you, and how much ya pay is dictated by that..

 

Power warranty can be added for 15yrs from in service date. Most of the dealer cars have that applied or at least have that option. Even if you buy from non-dealer I think you can pay for the inspection at the dealer to “certify” it and add the warranty.

 

Do you know the rough annual cost on that?
