    Offering a collection of 10 original bank checks from the mid to late 1800s - really cool pieces of history! Most (possibly all) are from the Brooklyn, New York area

    1) 1876 First National Bank Check for $1,355.55
    2) 1875 First National Bank Check for $7647.77
    3) 1880 First National Bank Check for $1000
    4) 1893 First National Bank Check for $45
    5) 1883 First National Bank Check for $3500
    6) 1875 First National Bank Check for $75
    7) 1871 First National Bank Check for $1800
    8) 1884 First National Bank Check for $500
    9) 1858 Williamsburgh City Bank Check for $25
    10) 1889 Promissory note for $250

    All have wear for their age / type including creases, small tears, stains etc. Most have pen notations and a few have 2 cent postage stamps which add to the history and great vintage look.

    Well I didn't need them, and don't need more stuff to frame and hang on the walls, but if they weren't sold I mighta bought 'em. Those are pretty cool. The first commander of the base I work at was Lt. Ambrose Wyckoff, couple of those almost look like A. Wyckoff. That would be interesting to find that connection.

    I love seeing things like this.
    Amazing the things that we don't even think about but are so interesting.
    I too am happy that they sold so quickly as I might have been a player in this game.
    The amounts on most of these checks are for some hefty amounts back in those days so I am thinking the persons writing these checks must have been ballers....
