Image Unavailable, Please Login While moving the head assembly in order to take the valves out this bushing appeared to fall from the cam chamber side of the head. It's about the same size as a air cleaner stand off but has a smaller orifice on the small end as well as it has a nice radius.

    Dimensions
    Top dia 9.70 mm
    body dia 7.90 mm
    primary hole 5.40mm
    orifice 3.7 mm

It may not even be from the Ferrari as I'm not missing anything and can't determine where it would go.

I thought maybe it was a dowel for head alignment both both are in the block.

    Thanks

    Barry

Well it’s not an injector bushing for an 85 QV which it kind of looked like.

37 is a sleeve that lines up the cam cover. This bushing looks like a metering jet (for lack of a better term) I did drill the fittings for the sniffer tubes as they were broken and all but one of the fittings broke when I tried to remove them. So I drilled them out for a 12x1.25 tap and cleaned up the threads with a tap so I can put 12x1.25 plugs in them. I was thinking maybe it's part of the bottom of one of the sniffer tubes but the one I have to look at is different. I just can't find any place where it fits.

Unfortunately I’m unfamiliar with Carb cars so really if no help. Hopefully one of the carb engine builders here will chime in.Best of luck with your project.

I think maybe you need to consider the circumstances under which you found this. Are you absolutely certain it belongs on your car?
