    Now that I've got the dashboard out of my '95 456GT I am also cleaning and overhauling the ventilation system. I have found that all of the foam on valve flaps and elsewhere in the system is extremely fragile and will disintegrate/fall apart when touched, if not already disintegrated on its own account.
    Anyone please for tips on how to renew the foam on the valve flaps?

    I removed all the foam. Little disgusting pieces were always coming out the vents. Where I thought it would squeak with vibration, I put some silicone foam in place. I left it out elsewhere, like the location in your picture.

    I bought some black sheet rubber 1/16 thick from Amazon, cut out pieces to match and glued them to the plastic
