Scud steering wheel on stock F430: LED's work!

Looks very nice! Fingers crossed the LED’s work on yours!!

 

I'm still wondering if any has tried this with a 599 LED wheel. They are pretty common on eBay and are in leather/carbon in the same style as the 430 without the Alcantara on the bottom of the wheel like the scud (I personally hat Alcantara on any surface you will touch since it wears and gets dirty quickly). It also has the correct Manettino decal for a regular 430.

 

I can tell you that the Manettino works as long as you buy the correct version I.e. don't buy the racing Manettino for an F430.

I cant confirm the LEDs but it should be as I pointed out earlier in the thread: an EVO2 cluster or MY08 to engage the LEDs.

 

Are you saying the 599 wheel works then or were you talking about a scud steering wheel? My car is an 09 so I have the newer cluster.

Mine was a 599 wheel and the LED’s didn’t work. I think I explained the story earlier on this thread..

 

I have tried a 599 Manettino in an F430 and it works. I cant confirm the LEDs though.

Yours is an 07' correct, so I wouldn't expect it to work without some major hacking, I guess the outstanding question is about the 08/09 with the updated cluster and the 599 LED wheels. Some one will have to take the plunge...

Not sure, as other forum members mentioned, F430 have different configuration through out whole production life, I think I am just pure lucky it worked。 no mod required.
