What's For Dinner?

I survived Wendy's. It wasn't bad. I skipped the Frosty for 99cents extra. But did have vanilla ice cream after at home. The ice cream I buy uses real vanilla and cream, very good ice cream. I added a little 100% maple syrup from Canada, bought at Costco.

 

Give me the macarons (macaroons?) and you can keep the rest!

I was about to be disappointed in you Max for cheaping out on the Frosty, but I think you made the right call in the end!

I got the 99c frosty yesterday when I ate a Chicken Pecan Apple Blue Cheese salad from Wendy's for lunch.

It was pretty darn good on a hot day

 

I like the Frosty's, but knew I had ice cream that's better at home. This ice cream https://www.breyers.com/ca/en/products/creamery-style/creamery-style-natural-vanilla.html its almost $8 for the little container, but worth it.

Tonight is T-bone and corn on the cobb. Yes, more ice cream and maple syrup.

Decided its too hot for here for the grill (92 outside). Didn't feel like cooking. Got chicken and fries at Popeyes instead................ Tooooooooo full for ice cream!

 

Max...if you like coffee, and have good vanilla ice cream, try an espresso affogato. That's a double shot of espresso over vanilla ice cream. Easy and tasty.

Burgers tonight, but the real treat was the first batch of beefsteak tomatoes from the garden.

I have a Keurig single serve.

cloudy today, might rain. Good grilling day for steak and corn on the cobb.

 

Currently up in the great white north that is Door Co. Wisconsin. Long time family home. Did the circle tour of the peninsula yesterday. Stopped off at a fish house at the northern tip. Picked up some white fish fresh off the boat. Grilled, Parmesan crusted. I have made a lot of fish, but this was amazing. Yeah, that's a great idea! Thanks, Haven't seen linzer cookies since I left Brooklyn a zillion years ago.
I had extra almond flour and baker's chocolate that needed to be used, so I went that route.
But, these turned out a bit dry, so a little jam on top might do the trick...T

Tonight was sriracha salmon (From the big lake) with a light sprinkle of brown sugar, grilled asparagus, and not pictured beefsteak tomatoes,

Have had some killer wines to compliment.

Looks good. Never tried salmon with a spicy glaze. Sounds intriguing...T
