Very interesting roof design. I wonder how it stands up to structural requirements. I see they have reinforced the windscreen, but there must be some cross rigidity lost across the body.
The onwer of the car posts here @drkita There is a full thread about the car. I had asked the question about roll hoops (or lack thereof) and what it implies for passenger protection if the car rolls but never got a reply. This is a very well executed project. Personally though I like the look of a convertible with the arches in the back so my preference is the how the SA Aperta looks vs this kind of a spyder. Never been a fan of how the Daytona spyder looks.
Yeah, I remember that car. Being an artisanal job, I suppose that they had to accept some compromises in rigidity and safety, but the looks are great, better than the factory made 599 convertibles.
the car has been reinforced underneath. We removed the 599 windshield and installed a California one as it has the provisions for the soft top anchors and a better rake
I did a search using the owner's ID as posted by [gTr] above and found some pics in the following threads: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/145639152/ https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/146820208/
