2001 Ferrari 456 MGT VIN ZFFWL44A310125562 Black with tan Daytona interior. Miles 10,331. Really unique car. Only 96 of them brought into the US between 1999 to 2003. The 6 speed manuals are very rare and desirable. Only 21 of this particular year and only 688 total. Very few came in black and this one has very low 10k miles. Beautiful Daytona seats done by world class Pebble Beach upholsterer John Parkhurst. It has all the stock parts in the trunk. Recent work has been new shocks and fresh belts. This vehicle is ready to drive. Completely mechanically gone through. Recent timing belt service by a Ferrari specialist. Documented receipts. Car Fax. You can spend your life looking for a better one: Good luck, there is not one. The previous owner has done the hard work for you. Absolute thrill to drive. Understated testosterone waiting to be unleashed. No disappointments. Books, tools and records. $129,950.00 OBO. Please call Cosmopolitan Motors, LLC (206) 467-6531.

I've been looking for a manual 456M for a while now but hadn't considered black (I had a Rosso Corsa auto from 2012-2018). Do I understand correctly that the Crema/Nero Daytona interior is not original? If so, what was the original interior? I would bet black non-Daytona. No shields, which is parr for manuals, but it does have the space saver spare (Which won't fit in the trunk of an automatic due to the size of the transmission, so I put mine in the back seat in a laundry bag). That spare also works for my 360, so it would be nice to have two of them.

Things that make me go hmmmmm... :)

Here’s a 456 with seats converted to Daytona type by Coachtrimmers in England. I think they’re a nice improvement to the interior and if you aren’t going for a Platinum, why not? I’ve been to their workshops. Those blokes are on their game.

Yes, I agree. I buy them to drive them and just go to FCA meetings and Cars & Coffee mostly. I might even have the calipers painted red if I got a black one.

Shields would cost about $15K for the correct hood though. :)

A lot of people say that, but I disagree. I had them on my red one and loved the look. That car got a LOT of attention and compliments.

I don't like shields on yellow cars, and that's the only exception I have.

Well, the low miles, custom interior, and the 6 speed, I guess it adds up, from the last one I noticed priced around $72K.

    GLWS it's beautiful......

The Crema color is original to the car. The daytona look was added.

My car had a Sabbia (Sand) interior. It was a light tan. And was piped in black. Argento exterior. And a six speed. No shields.

The subject car, while having a custom interior, appears to be more Sabbia than Crema. And the seller states it is Tan.

Looks like it's going to the Lucky Car Auction at the end of this month. I'm not a fan of the Daytona seat look at all really, but hey, a manual 456...yummy.

Has anyone ever really lusted after a 456?
Love the cars but they always seemed to be the bastard Ferrari stepchild. Shame.
This would be the one to have.

I disagree with that statement. The 456 family are lovely; I keep toying with idea of getting one.

Has anyone ever lusted after a Ferrari 12 with a gated manual that has aged beyond well?

Yes. I have. And I respect the classified posting of an exceptional example of this car.

I love the 456. It's beauty is more refined and understated, so you might not wow a bunch of 18 year olds at "cars and coffee" like you would with a 488 or something,, but personally I think it's one of the prettiest Ferrari's of the last 25 years. This one looks stunning. The Daytona seats look great, and a manual....perfect.

I would strongly agree that the 456 is the most attractive and elegant 2+2 Ferrari has made since the 1960s.

456 owners and fans should check out this video by Iain Tyrrell in the UK about a simple procedure to extract the full measure of oomph from this classic Ferrari:
