    Hi Group,
I'm fairly close to purchasing a set from Superformance, but before I do I was hoping I can see a 308 with them in person. By chance does anyone in Houston have a car with a set installed that I can see? Much appreciated! -Veso

I had them on my car for awhile and they look great. Only the trained eye will ever notice the rear wheel doesn’t have exactly the same slightly deeper appearance as the original. In fact I couldn’t until I compared them side by side.

Only the trained eye can see the difference. And we are all trained. You are right to want to see them in person. Either it will be a $4,000 problem for you or it won't.

Curious - how deeper is the difference?

I have Superformance wheels and cosmetically they are nice but they were very difficult to balance.

Nino, do you regret getting them if they are difficult to balance? Can you send a pic of your car?

They look good and are balanced with lots of weights. I would say that I got what I paid for. I still have my oem wheels safely tucked away.

There have been at least a couple of people here who have reported balance issues or centering ring issues so it is something to be aware of and take into consideration. Also they have sold hundreds of these wheels to a lot of happy customers. It might be that quality control for these wheels are not what it should be. That's sort of a theme with a bunch of their repro parts in my experience. The good news is that I think everyone (at least most people?) that have reported issues to Superformance about their parts issues find that they try to make it right and have good customer service. I would guess that if you reported an off balance wheel to them in a reasonable amount of time that they would replace it. One of my wheels arrived with a slight dent (USPS, not QC) and they sent a replacement immediately.

The casting of the repros LACKS the "self centering" of the OEM wheels.

Once this was known a centering ring should be added to all installations.
    I think it's plastic.

Once bolted up of course, it's not a big matter.
The lug bolts seat into an insert, conical.....

Lot's of people run spacers and that jazz to fit their "special needs"....
The ring is not an unheard of solution certainly....

"Lots of weighs" would make me question the tire.
But if it was a good brand I guess "it is, what it is"??
