Has anyone modified their 612 for more power? Was it worth it, and what company did you go with? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I did it on my FF with eurocharged. Those guys are great but I didn’t notice much difference to justify the price. Mostly turbo engine gets the most out of tunes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A tune will wake up a 612. You can improve the fueling to favour max torque through the rev range, tweak the ignition a bit to be less conservative, and remove the torque demand delay that Ferrari put into early cars. This last bit makes the biggest subjective difference, as you’ll feel more “connected” to the engine. I would personally advocate Trev360 on here as the person that understands this stuff better than anyone else outside of the original development team. Trev is super busy, but as an “affiliate”, you can send me your ecu’s and I can load them up with a tuned flash file. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
This sounds fun! You quite happy that the valve springs can take those revs? You find the engine is still building power at those revs?
612 has 300rpm lower limiter than 575. 8000rpm is not a prollem. 6-1 headers and high flow cats improve breathing at high revs. Pulls very hard up to 7940 where tune starts to limit a bit ( dyno checked ) . These are all 8K shifts: tps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zN8ldgAKzYI
Interesting on the rev limit- I feel cheated now knowing the 575 gets a higher cieling! I suspect that the 6-1 manifolds are making quite a big difference though on high RPM performance. They also sound pretty good too.
