That's what the Manettino is for; ESP is not really an argument for or against F1. I've owned manual, F1, and Superfast 2 variants of the 430 and I found the manual to compromise the car a little bit for fast road driving and track use, but with the power on tap it's never a slow car. Conversely the F1 undoubtedly robs a high degree of interaction with the car and depending on driving style and usage e.g. track vs road, the additional performance may not be worth the sacrifice in enjoyment. It's entirely subjective IMO much like paint and trim colour.
This is like debating of theres a god. For 99 percent of us the f1 will be faster than the stick. Take lewis Hamilton and let him test an f1 and stick back to back on same track, what d the difference be? Sent from my iPhone using MotorInteractive
Sure it is— the nuances of clutch and gas engagement and disengagement on a 17 turn race track is more challenging in a stick car. Trust me I went from fast nannie dct to all analog stick. agreed as you said it’s all opinion
Theres no doubt in I95 traffic the f1 wld be preferred. On a country backroad both will be enjoyable. As for the track once i put a helmet on I lose all senses anyway.
Tt- you better be faster if you remove some of the human to machine inputs and turn them over to a computer. agreed 100%
I guess I should have said "faster" rather than "better". On a track, I always thought faster was better.
245k plus BAT feels + first thing id do is capristo headers, mufflers, and hiflow cats, that about $20k installed lol
I get this, it's the viewpoint of a technician who knows how these cars work and fixes them, for which huge respect. But "better" is not what we are after or what we love. Otherwise why would a GTO or a 250 sell for millions? A 2015 Boxster is better than both in every objective way. We are here for the "passione" and enough people think a gated 430 (which is what I own) provides these to be paying these prices. The reasons why are all explained elsewhere on this thread.
At that price, probably a collector who will put maybe 1-2k miles on it, ever. If he drove it, it will drop to half of the $245k paid in no time. So he probably won’t mod it at all. Want a stick to drive, get an F1 and have it converted. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat

Jeez, and I thought I had done well to sell my 6MT red/tan 06 Berlinetta for $171k back in 2015. Had it been a Spider I would probably still own it.
Seller scored big on that BaT auction - especially since it was previously posted for sale on Autotrader, for god knows how long, for $200K.
A car like that is worth more on bat due to the wisdoms of crowds which autotrader and ebay etc dont have.
Are there many gated 430s listed for sale at the moment in the US? If so, it is strange how BAT can whip up these prices, if you can buy an equivalent car, maybe with a warranty and inspection, for less any day of the week.
