I want to maintain equity in this car.
She's nearing a milestone. 99,975. Should I sell her or
just drive her until one of us drops? :)

To be fair, I can't go for coffee without asking for a 4-cup cardboard cupholder for the floor. Anything less and the
beverage just tips over. And now with this China trade wars, lots of local NJ places dont have the holders anymore
and so just where do you carry your coffee? It takes two hands to drive these cars! I can't just mash the gas and go and text with one hand, blue-tooth yap, and gesture wildly with the other! And dont get me started about taking on a Tesla out of a red light. {sigh} is she past her prime @ 37? I remember wondering when she was going to hit 25 so I could register her as a classic/antique so get a reduced fee & reduced insurance.

j/k. I'm the 2nd owner & had her since 2001 with 35K on the odo. Back & forth to Canada a few times. Wonderful times with East Coast Crew and events that will never be duplicated. Even today while getting coffee a fellow stopped to ogle her & snap pics. 10min later a couple in a big Dualy was admiring her & asking what year she was ('83). She's with me until the end. i say when you pass, let this be your coffin
nothing more appropriate then to lower the 308 with you inside.
Congratulations on something many of us will never experience.

    What bad happens after 100K?

I've been waiting now for about a decade.

It's like the sound barrier, you know...on "the other side", there are monsters, gremlins, who knows? No-one ever came back to tell the story...

(By the way, to us raised under that strange metric system, our "sound barrier" for cars is 100.000 kilomètres, which is 62.150,4 miles...so you are already on that other side!)

See that "1" creeping up? It wants to do it. Maybe when it rolls over all the numbers will line up again.

I have a video of mine rolling over around here somewhere.

I'll post it if I can dig it up. It's kinda like seeing that old 1967 Bigfoot video.

The metric speedo/odo on my 308 rolls over to 00000 at about 62,000 miles. All of a sudden, I have a brand new car.

Why would you ever let someone else take her past that milestone? I say it is your privilege, no, your duty...

as for equity, now is not a good time to sell

I rolled mine over. Of course it had about 90K on it when I bought it. From the looks of the interior it may have been 190k. :)

They don't explode after 100k miles!! Enjoy!

I know a Ferrari technician who has a customer that owns a QV that has over 350k miles and still today the car is still running well. So 100k miles is nothing to be afraid of.

Clyde, I remember meeting you when you first bought (stole) your car. Seller thought it may need a head gasket and that was why the price was significantly reduced, Nope! Also it was a GTB, which back them were not as desirable to most and could be generally had for less money.

Well here we are many years, miles, smiles and with second Ferraris to drive. I'm not quite at your mileage, but I'm at just under 75K and the car drives better than the day I bought it.

I know it will be a sad day when I let mine go, but you without your GTB almost seems unthinkable.

Enjoy the smiles. It's really all that matters with cars. When the joy is gone, then the car will go too

Isn't 10,000 - 15,000 miles per year considered average? So you're only at 2,700 miles / year. Sounds very low. Thoughts?

My 328 has 101,000 miles, and runs better than 3x8s with 15,000 miles. If you maintain these cars, 200,000 miles is absolutely possible. 328s 308s are the best cars that Ferrari has ever produced for mass production. I just had my suspension re done , and I have to say, its not that much better than the original at 99,000 miles, another testament to the build quality, and no part of my interior is coming unglued...

    Thank you

Ok, next time there is a milestone worth photographing the Speedo/odo may i make the following observation . At 40 mph or at 130 mph the speedo needle is out of the way of the odo. Not the same for every var but this should give you a goal to shoot for.
