Slightly off topic, but as I'm sure we are all car enthusiasts regardless of the brand, I thought I'd share this link of Gordon Murray's new car. For those unaware, Gordon Murray is a legendary engineer and designer, having built multiple championship winning Formula 1 cars as well as the McLaren F1 road car. This is his successor to the McLaren F1 with an engine inspired by the Ferrari Colombo V12. This guy is a genius!

    Enjoy, BB

Best car video I’ve seen maybe ever. Absolutely love the elegance and relative simplicity of the design and Gordon’s passion/vision.

The only Ferrari in his car collection is a 308GT4. I kid you not.

The only criticism I have towards this car is its price tag, unfortunately (said to be more or less "about 2.3 million GBP / 2.75 million euros / 3.0 million dollars")
The V 12 engine will be able to rev at 12.100 rpm...
Shape and lines can always be discussed, but in philosophy, this is exactly what a proper sports car should be. That car is RIGHT.

After listening to him, I bet he admires the GT4’s clever packaging.

I've got so many favourite things about this car ..... in particular the aero and how it aids the styling.
But two of my top favourites are the "no belts" engine and the gullwing engine covers

    Yes always personal taste involved.

I knew nothing of the F1 until I saw one for sale in a Mayfair (London) window. Since then it has been my favorite unobtanium.

The new car is in harmony with several of my sensibilities; compact size, manual shifter, V12, smooth shape, even the large round steering wheel. Love it.

I thought his comments on the AC were interesting and apply to 308's regarding the greenhouse, air return and volume.
For those who want electric AC, this car used at 48VDC motor.
Did you notice how many things he said were junk on the early cars?

The thing that blew me away was the sudden realization that the original F1 is 30 years old!

I too picked up on GM's comments about the F1's aircon, and specifically his comment with regards to exhausting the requisite amount of air from the cabin, and my first thought was I bet the 308's cabin exhaust/s is/are probably all but non-existent or very inefficient ...

I noted his comments on the headlights, the air conditioning and the access for luggage stowage. But beyond those, I didn't think he was overly hard on the car.
