IIRC that's fine is it an orange color? I wouldn't use it if it were regular Zerex...

I use BMW coolant in mine purchased at the BMW dealer..

+ 1 for the BMW product.

I use that in my 2002 BMW M5 that has aluminum block and heads, same as my 2001 360.

If it is the orange Dexcool it is not compatible with the earlier green coolants and possibly blue stuff. Be sure to thoroughly remove all prior coolant before use as they can cause gelling if mixed.
360 did not come with the Dexcool product. I would not chance use of the orange stuff.

I've been using green coolant from Autobarn in my 360, relatively inexpensive and works well.

Stuff ur usin from A/b have ethylene glycol in it ??. After numerous phone calls and 1 hour spent I finally track G-05 concetrate down and will have it tomorrow. My engine has just been refitted 3-4 wks ago, whilst it was out I flushed the rads because what was in there is anyone's guess I know it wasn't shell stuff. I have distilled water with no coolant in there now, i to plan a fresh start I will the drain rads tomorrow and refill with G-05 after bringing the engine up to temp and working out how to get the heater working what FPITA that job is. Have not driven my car since sept last yr but she'll be ready 2-3 wks.

    Cheers

I believe dexcool is for GM products. I use the generic extra milage put in anything coolant in all my stuff. I tried to find out the differences in coolant and it was almost impossible. the main thing is the old green stuff IS different than the new stuff and can not be mixed.

yep, it's ethylene glycol stuff, I checked with Carl before putting it in, he pre-cautioned me against putting red coolant in as it would turn into gel when mixed with green coolant.

*** update - here's the link to the coolant I use, 33% ethylene glycol: https://www.autobarn.com.au/nulon-antifreeze-oa01367-lltu5

I have been servicing my car and it's been on jack stands for a couple months. Decided to look at the coolant level and the tank is dry! I will now take the extra steps to check the trans fluid before I button her back up all the way but I wanted to get some coolant inbound in the event that the dealer just assigned my coolant flush to a jr tech and crossing my fingers I don't have bigger issues. I have had it done every service since I have owned the car so this is unexpected.

Is this the stuff I want???

Looks like my gearbox oil is nice and clean so I am looking to top of the coolant. I bumped a couple threads to try and get an answer for what to purchase. It looks like Zerex 05 and 48 are in my neighborhood I just don't know which one to buy!

Thanks you very much for a reply.

That is going to take a month to ship!!!!
I'm looking at a few different local choices now. There is a shell product that might work. Anyone know if this is good. i can get it from our local WestMarine.

I would not use any coolant that did not specifically state its additives protect against cylinder liner erosion. The Rotella ELC does state that.

Many posts(on and off of ferrarichat) about shell replacing ultra with Shell ELC NF

Shell ELC NF is now there top tier coolant for mixed fleets including wet cylinder liners
