So this is a minor point. But I actually prefer the key for the Roma which features a rectangular Clossonaie style Ferrari badge on the front and a very bespoke looking leather stitched cover on the rear side.

In contrast the standard key for the 488 and F8, a shapeless chunk of red plastic, pales in terms of looks and lacks a sense of occasion. My old school 458 key is smaller and looks nicer IMO.

Have I got it all wrong?

Can the Roma Key be programmed for the F8? I’d pay for that.

I'd pay for an old fashioned key that you put in the ignition and turn!

What's the backup plan when this space age key loses power or malfunctions? Is there a mechanical key somewhere?

I find the Roma key hideous. I would not want to swap my 488 key at all. The Roma key looks like some counterfeit trinket from a knock off stand

  5. The Roma key suits the car.

It would not suit the 488; or really any mid engine sports car from Ferrari.

From what i see its just an enamel ferrari prancing horse and the 488 F8 key is actually quite stylish, i prefer the F8's key.
