QQ: How to wire new coils ? I am installing new coils in my 83QV USA spec, 308 and the OEM coils wiring connections are designated "15" and "1" my replacement coils wiring connections are designated "+" and "-". The wires are paired in Green and in Yellow. So.... -- what wires go where -- what is "15" and what is "-" ? I don't want to guess at tis or do a trial and error install if someone here has already done this and knows the answer to the wiring set-up. I checked the wiring diagram and it only designates "15" and "1" -- whatever those indications even mean?
There is a DIN standard for wire terminals. 15 is positive from the ignition switch. That is, it only receives positive voltage when the ignition switch is on.
