Green QV from Magnum PI

Can’t say that I remember that episode. Those shorts are hilarious though.

 

A GREEN 308 in a Magnum episode? Say it isn't so!!!!

 

I caught this one a couple of months back; the kid pretends to be Magnum. One of the more light-hearted episodes.

I always liked the less serious episodes, especially the ones with Luther Gillis (Eugene Roche).

 

Is the quattrovavole badge missing from the back of the green car? It sure looks like a QV, but it should have the badge. Lost during the repaint?

 

The license plate says "Robin 23" the other cars on the estate read "Robin 1, 2 and 3" That being the Ferrari Magnum drives, Higgins Audi and the estates seldom seen Jimmy. So that means Robin Masters owns at least 23 cars.

 

They used two different green 308's.

Watch carefully.

 

Yeah I totally remembered that episode.. Robin's nephew sneeze out the car by pushing out of the front gate when the keys got taken away..

 

I remember it we had another thread on it somewhere in this forum. I'm watching the first episode now as I type this Magnum is attempting to steal the Ferrari.

 

Funny how they used the same actors in series to play diffrent parts. I just noticed that the actor who played the coroner in episode 1 season 1 also played the police detective who always did the John Wayne imitations in the later episodes, after Lt. Tanaka died.

 

Two different green 308s in the episode? I didn't know Ferrari made that many!

I am trying to remember without going back to look but I believe one had a regular shallow front air dam and the other had a deep euro style one.

 

I wonder why the hell they picked that color ?

I'm not sure I have even seen that shade green on a QV in the flesh.

 

I think that was it Dr. Tommy I remember you pointing that out. I think it was visible during a chase scene with a firebird.

 

I'm thinking it was a bit of a darker shade of green like a verde mugello mica.

 

The same shade of green was featured in the original USA Market brochure for the USA QV's IIRC?

I have just never seen one in real life. I would have thought I have stumbled on pretty much every factory color example in person by now. I guess not.

The nephew says he rented the Ferrari in the episode. It isn't Robin's car. The plate is probably A fake since he's trying to copy Magnum.

 

Didn't Robin rent the car for the nephew? I seem to remember at the end the nephew didn't return the car and Higgins and Magnum were going to go find him.

Barry Cross I believe is the guy with the green 308 (how I remember that I have no idea) His is a lighter green than the car on magnum.
