Hello everyone, my fiance and I drove the Testarossa from LA to San Luis Obispo yesterday to do an engagement photoshoot, pics to come in a few weeks. Car was running great, new ball joints fixed some handling issues, AC working well after a recharge, but about 1 hour away the clutch felt a bit lighter and the shifting became very rough and hard to engage. We made it and I let the car cool down, after that it was working fine for around town driving.

On the way back same thing, car was working great, except the rearview mirror fell off when it was bumped. Once I got back to LA the shifts became very hard, some of the gears were grinding as I was trying to engage first at a stoplight. I couldn't get 1st a few times so I started in second.

We made it back safe though. I took the car out for a spin today, gears engage fine if you are rolling, but they are still rough when you pull away from a stop. I'll take it out for a longer drive to heat up the gearbox completely but I don't think it'll get easier.

Thoughts? Maybe I need to bleed the clutch, or change the gearbox oil and check for metal. I'm hoping it's just a bleed problem.

    Thank you

Yea the pedal felt a bit spongy. It went from nice and firm and I felt it change then noticed the shifts got worse. Would you recommend I start with bleeding the clutch as the easy first step?

Because I added it to the Testarossa picture thread, and this is my thread that I started. And I said I used the car for a photoshoot, so there you go.

    Thanks for the comment.

I'll start there. I saw the other thread explaining how to get to the bleeder. I'll post the results if it helps. Thank you.

Thank you, I'm glad the car made it, though it started acting up.

One time took my wife on a date with it and the slowdown buzzer acted up the all way back for like 45 minutes. That was mighty annoying lol

Amazing cars aren't they. I love it, but I don't always trust it. But it technically didn't let me down, so I can't talk too badly about it.
