At 5:00 the 365BB has its tail lights wrongly mounted. I've seen that a few times on a variety of Ferrari, but wouldn't have expected it to be like that from the factory!
No. It is correct! (Was mandatory for the German Market Cars. The two rear Grills have different partnumbers also.)
Do you know anything about the reason for this special german treatment? Sounds even more stupid than the special german chicken wire in front of the 308 GTB/S air intakes. Best from Germany Martin
Well... Some examples: -front position light and direction light must not be within the same light chamber. So, German BBs had ALL yellow blinkers and the position light in the pop up headlights. -the chicken wire you mentioned. For large openings, so no pedestrian (or parts of them) could be stuck into it. But I personally quite like the chicken wire. -no sharp edges under a certain radius. So, German BBs has an edge trim on the lip going fron A- to B-Pillar. -German BBs had a shorter front grill to get the aux-lights exposed -... Some of this changed during time. Don´t ask me why. I can only speculate, but it could be, that the normal rear light has to be in a certain distance from the side to be in a limit. Maybe with the (italian) light treatment it was not possible to be within this limit. In the US (or some states) it is similar, thats why so many 308s and 328 have the rear light mounted "wrong". Like mechaniker said, there's german legislation regarding protruding sharp edges. This detail never caught my eye during decades of ownership of my french no-nonsense (no chicken wire, no BS) car. Until I discovered it on your website. BTW. A picture showing the non-german vents is missing on your website. Are you interested in one showing the non-german engine vents for side-by-side comparison? Best Martin

You are absolutely right, I need to add a lot of "general view" of a continental Euro model. I was focusing too much on the details of all the differences. I will change the lay out a bit to show an overview of the car before going deeper. I just can't show side by side all those details, there are too many markets, I just did it for the vetroresina/steel car.

Wasn't the first edition hardcover? Honestly said. As a book lover -I have a lot of old belletristic, antique literature- I hate paperback books. But I also learned bookbinding some years ago and have actually took apart some paperback books, and made hardcovers out of them. Or made hardcover books from pdfs which were worth the effort IMHO. For instance all Homologation Papers you could download from the official Ferrari site some years ago. Printed, sewn bound with hardcovers in high quality cloth. I did both at the same time, softback and hardback, but the hardback is 20 euro more. I hate softcovers too. Ciao
