Anyone done the above upgrade/trade? My 599 feels like it falls between two stools at the moment - it's neither modern and more usable like a GTC4 or F12, nor is it classic and analog like a 550. Thinking about going more usable? Anyone done it and have experiences to share?
I swapped a two-seater for a 4-seater several years ago, and I like having a back seat, minimal as it is, and the performance of the car is great. Apparently guys get hung up on the perceived importance of having only two seats for resale purposes, but the only reason it's important is precisely because of guys worried about resale. If everybody would just forget this hang-up and enjoy their cars, there wouldn't be a big gap between the price of classic two-seaters and classic 2 + 2's.
Hmmm. That would feel very much like a 599 and wouldn't solve the problem as outlined in my original post
Depends how your car is used. Do you have kids? Travel with more than yourself and wife/gf? If so hard to beat FF/Lusso V12. If it's just yourself (and gf/wife) and never have any other passengers, F12 would be the more logical option. PS absolutely love the FF/Lusso 12 myself.
Life is too short to drive an ugly car. When driving an FF/Lusso, you can't see it's ugly butt so it feels good. But the moment you park it and glance backwards as you walk away...epic fail.
Everything is subjective I guess, but I do not remember the 599 as having any usability issues - unless being a four-seater is part of the expected usability. In which case a 612 would solve this issue (of course so would an FF or Lusso, but the technical improvements they bring are not necessary for usability for me).
