Looks like they will produce 300 of them. I'm seriously considering one. 4 seater is a plus. 1700Hp is another good aspect of it. Any Ferrari owners who also have a Koenigsegg? What are your thoughts on the build quality and other factors?
Looks awesome, you should go for it, only live once Sent from my CLT-L09 using FerrariChat.com mobile app
That is incredible. I'm glad he is making the Freevalve technology in production. He mentioned some pretty cool ways alcohol fuels are made in Iceland including Vulcanol to be CO2-neutral. I say go for it.
You know they are actually really good residuals, I know people that have put many miles on them and still made good money
I’ve had a US slot for one of these for over a year now. When I signed up and went through the interview process they expected $900-1.1 depending on where the Euro was when it was released. $1.7 is not as compelling. Still, the engineering and performance of this car is remarkable and I’m glad Koneigsegg is staying at the cutting edge.
That is a big difference, are you still sticking with the purchase now you have seen the finished product?
You've known about the Gemera for over a year?!!! Did you see the car in person? or just renderings? Were there any leaks on this car? I don't believe I ever saw/read anything. (if I did, it didn't 'register'). Koneigsegg is great at keeping things under wraps.
I like the finished product but I've yet to get a firm price so I'm not sure. I first read Koenigsegg was doing a electric assist four seat car a little over a year ago. At that time there was no name, no rendering, no info on anything aside from the seats and twin drive plan but I was interested in the concept. I contacted Koenigsegg and got bounced around a bit until getting hooked up with the right guy who did an interview of sorts, NDA, and deposit. I was invited to a get together a couple months ago where I believe they had renderings but couldnt make the trip, but I had been in regular contact with them right along to hear the progress. Didn't actually see it until it was publicized. I've followed this co. for years and have been constantly amazed at the tech and engineering... truly amazing stuff.
I honestly would have liked to see a true 4-door. If you only have yourself or 1 passenger 75%(?) of the time, you open this huge door for just yourself. But, I'd get used to the drama of it.
The engineering behind the 1,700 horsepower, four-seat Gemera. https://jalopnik.com/a-detailed-look-at-the-koenigsegg-gemeras-mind-blowing-1842073757 .
Certainly not the prettiest car I have ever seen. Probably leaning more the other way. For that reason I would not buy one. However is extremely innovative, especially in engine and suspension areas.
oh, so you would rather have 2,300 hp using a Jesko V8? ...... ok Holy moly, the Koenigsegg Gemera is now available with a 2,269bhp hybrid V8 powertrain https://www.topgear.com/car-news/supercars/holy-moly-koenigsegg-gemera-now-available-2269bhp-hybrid-v8-powertrain .
